A little late

It's Sunday and time just gets away when not thinking of the blog. It's church day. Must be the first day of the week. The announcement was made that masks will be optional now at church but those not vacinated are encouraged to wear masks at this time. Perhaps the world is healing from this germ. I pray it heals from war even sooner. There is an evening prayer service at church and tomorrow evening one at Second Presb. for the healing of the world. Pray that Putin will see his way to peace. The TV pictures of mothers and children fleeing with husbands seperated and now asked to carry guns to the fight are heart wrenching. These families are no different from those I know and love here. Pray, pray, pray for their safety. This afternoon was grocery shopping at Aldi's once again. I love that store but I did need to make a stop at Krogers for a couple of things. Love my lentels and chik peas. I bought some smaller storage containers for freezer soup. Big ones just don't do what I want them to do. I returned some books to the library on the way home. The rest ofI the day is one to relax in. The birds are fed. I did a garden walk. It's a bit dryer. This week will be even better for drying. Temps will be big spring teasers. Today after the second service we did a bit of Lent decorating. The sanctuary just needs about 15 minutes of work and tomorrow morning we'll finish that and then move to the chapel. Heidi H. is such a great helper. She just never quits and I think some day she will just take over. I've tried to do a bit of North mentoring. She get's it. Her husband James did a lot of ladder work hanging banners and our son Eric worked in the choir loft. Many hands...etc. There is a place of quiet rest, near to the heart of God. I saw on facebook a group of Christians singing together in one of the bomb shelters. God be near.
