One more time.
One more time means that one more time for soup making. This time good old stick to the ribs potato soup. It's potatoes, celery and onions, and the stick blender! And today I added just a tad of bacon. Yum, yum. For a few of my friends, bacon spoils it all. Well, not for the Russells. The refrigerator is full of soup. These soup days are planned for healthy days to come. Not days in the hospital with a long recuperation in the plan. Those days are OVER! Speaking of over, the Cardiac visit is over with great results. The next visit is in 6 months. I'm rethinking my decision to eliminate the bata blocker pill. That might not be so smart. B B's regulate the electrical system for one thing. Pills...there are many in my life! But...I'm going well. But there are many!
Now for food.
People food. Potato Soup. A huge reminder of soup time when growing up. I'm sure we didn't have any celery in the soup since we ate what we grew. Celery is a more difficult veg. to grow in a common ordinary garden. We did add celery salt and I will do that as well. That makes it over the top for me.
Now here is food for birds. There are peanuts in this mixture. Blue Jays, Starlings, Cardinals, and all woodpeckers...Yum,yum and then anyone else can do some picking with what is left.
That includes the squirrel's Frick and Frack. They sweep the patio floor clean. They also are good at cleaning up under the bird feeders hanging in the yard.
Now for starters, Michigan friends...don't laugh. I haven't gone crazy. I hung oranges just to keep things looking interesting for me. I'm sure the birds don't care a hoot. I know the Orioles will not be here for a long time but I hope you agree it's interesting. The suet and mealworms are the cherries on top of the Sunday for the Bluebirds and Warblers. And just about everyone else, come to think of it.And now some food for thought. The music worm running through my head is the anthem we're singing Sunday. I memorized these words about 10 years into my life as Summer Bible school attended every summer during my entire childhood. That's where we did a ton of memory work. Sunday's sung musical notes surround words from the Sermon on the Mount. It's all the Blesseds and they sing through my head this week. Good words to live by. Good words that feed one's soul. The prayer today is that all of God's children are feed as their needs arise. All includes all.
