First day of the week.
Starting another week. Those starts seem to come around every seven days. I have that figured out!!!!!
Yesterday was one of those sloppy days that kept me inside most of the time. I watched the birds and ball games both men and women and that was about it. Oh, yes...the sweeper appeared for a few minutes and I checked on the parsley. A few more little seeds have germinated. This year the parsley patch is right by the house. Won't need to walk far to cut those tasty little additions to a whole lot of things. The games were awesome. Lots of hard work brought unusual outcomes. It's a never give up attitude not often seen. Thank you Michigan, St. Peter, IU ladies to name a few. Yes...big and small schools were represented.
This week I'm blessed with NO appointments anywhere! Now that's a new experience that hasn't happened for a while. The week is all mine to fill as I wish or can. I'll take it.
Yesterday I posted a picture of the Lenten Rose flowerbed. Today's picture is a close-up of a clump, one of many, that has grown over the years. The old tired leaves have been cut off and all the growth is new and fresh. It's that springtime look. And yes...spring arrives this morning between 11 and 12.
What is an added bonus with this plant is that the flowers will dry on the plant and remain looking as if they were fresh for months. These are in the family of Hellebores. I hope the spelling is correct. Goggle it for more information. It's an interesting family of plants. Now a church story. The Cathedral Singers did not sing at last Sunday's service. So Doug and I went to the Cumberland UMChurch where Ronnie Bell who was at our church 3 years ago is now the senior pastor. Ronnie worked in community ministry at North and is a wonderful gem of a guy. I have been wanting to worship at his church since he left North and this was the perfect time to do that. So I'll add a wonderful picture to the blog today. Ronnie's ministry is alive and well doing God's work. Community ministry continues in this place. He is much appreciated every bit as he was at North.
