A Winnie the Poo Day.

Yes...a blustery day.  Lots of wind that should dry the soil a bit.  The rain has been a blessing.  It's brought a huge amount of growth to everything plant-based.  The beds are bursting with a huge variety of bloomers soon to come. There are a few of these in the garden.

This morning's wordle answer happened in three tries.  Woo.  Just a little proud of myself. Let's add the word LUCKY!  The garden work included moving a small Mullin plant to a bigger place.  I love those plants although they do almost nothing but grow and look pretty.  I would say majestic in the upright form they will take in a few weeks.

This is a very big Mullin plant volunteer.

I hoed out some weeds, did a bit of trimming, and applied some Preen.  The Iris are fading fast so those stems need to be cut off.  Woo...there are at least one hundred Siberian Iris on the way out.

I blew the maple seeds off the roof.  I'm just a bit done with sweeping them off the patio and into piles for the garbage can. Let's get it over with.  Sweeping when wet doesn't work so well.

I cleaned the birdbath with the goal of adding it to the Care for the Earth visuals at church.

A very clean with bleach birdbath, the bowl sprayed with gold paint.  Nothing but the best for the birds.  Mrs. Oriole visited the Smuckers Jelly cup this morning.  The catbirds are also enjoying the jelly. We have very regular visitors.  There is a substitute birdbath to use for a couple of days.

Doug visited the library again and stopped at the gas station.  Eeks.  almost 5 bucks a gal.  I told Doug we should make it a point to stay home.  Then I looked at the calendar.  There is a Sat. choir rehearsal...Sunday services...Monday breast cancer doctor. regularly scheduled visit ...Thurs. choir practice and then Sat. Bread and Bowl.  Looks like we're using gas next week.  Appointments need to be kept.    Our neighbors bought a Tesla.

The day ended on a rather tame note.  Supper, card game, I won, TV. three cucumber plants in the ground, and a little computer time.  The day has been filled to the brim.
