Friday's job.

One of the first things I did this morning was cut flowers.  They are going with us in the van to be enjoyed on the trip as well as the centerpiece for our table while camping.  Such beautiful colors to be enjoyed close up and personal.

Packing the van.  That's the day's assignment really and I must say I told Doug it was an easy job.  Working every day this week on something related to camping is the secret to an easy Friday.  So I backed the van into the garage and all that was to go with us was stacked on the floor ready to move stuff up and away.  I told Doug when the van was full we have everything.  It's full.

Tail Gate View.    Walking sticks.  Way to many.  Buckets of copper going back to where they were born.  The better stuff is in the garage.  The tent is in the green carrier.  Ready for the Russell boys!  Missing are the two folks in the front seats.  Oops...that's Saturday morning stuff.
Camp kitchen right behind Doug's seat right by the door.  It's really heavy.
We are locked and loaded.  Well my version of that does not include guns.

The drawers are full of all things that have to do with fixing food, eating food and cleaning up after food.

Because we head north through Wisconsin and not Michigan, which is a shorter route, we miss this view of crossing the Mack bridge.  Michigan Russells always celebrate after crossing the bridge which means they are in the UP.  It was a foggy morning at the bridge this year.

Saturday it's windmill time, corn time, soybean time and Wisconson cows and cheese time.  Sunday we'll see signs of Lambo Field and travel through a whole lot of the North Woods.  When we see Superior we're just about there.  Time to pitch that tent.

  1. Glad you are locked, loaded and on your way to the UP for a great two weeks with family and friends. I will try not to miss you and I will keep the designated plants watered. Give Wyatt a pat on the head from me. SJ
