Decision Thursday.
Nothing different about the morning routine. Same old, same old. Crossword finished, Wordle finished, Oatmeal finished. Everything was finished and because the quilt tops were finished it was time to think about the baby quilt finishing process and all that goes with that.
This is a picture from a couple of years ago. Monarchs were slim to nothing last year. I hope we see more this summer. When I checked JoAnn's online it seemed to suggest that there was a fleece sale! I made a decision to go look and get enough fleece for two quilt tops. My goodness, the three-day sale is a great one with more than half off the fleece price. The regular price is 14.99 a yard. You know, I'd rather do without than pay that price. It's ridiculous. So instead of two tops, I got enough for all seven. Saved a bunch of money but also spent a bunch even at more than half off. Some babies are going to snuggle in beautiful blankets.
I moved to the dining room table to cut fabric, pin fabric...then it was to the ironing board to iron fabric, the sewing machine to sew fabric, back to the ironing board and a few more steps nearing completion. I worked on four quilts. Three are totally finished with all the knotting completed. Tomorrow I'll start all over again.
What a fun fleece print. The process of putting quilts together is the same as the quilters at North Church use. It's a tried and true one that works so why not use it. The Lydia Circle gave me a Feb. date for completion and I'm going to meet that date come hell or highwater. I have baby bibs on my mind for the next project. I have great scraps.
The girls in the yard are happy about the weather. They appear to have a little icing touch added to their appearance. I'm thinking about adding a boyfriend to keep Tulip company. Daisy is taking care of the backyard. I might give her a shovel to help her earn her keep.
I think they are going to hang around for a while. Makes me happy.
Really cute snow ladies! You are so artistic and creative! Way to go young lady.
