Friday
A great morning start with Wordle in three and that was before 6 AM. Then a little later the Star crossword had a good outcome also. So off to an excellent start for the day.
The shoulder report is that it's screaming bloody murder. Overuse is abuse! So it's pill time which seems to calm things down. I did a tiny bit of cutting and finished another top. I think they really are happy crib quilts thanks to a whole lot of bright colors. This time it's a green border. I'm working that 3 1/2 inch stack of 5 inch squares down to no squares.
The morning was a take it easy time. More sewing happened in the evening. It's keeping my fingers in the fabric so I'll take it. Our minister's wife Jenny works with new mothers in the Goodwill program. I'm thinking these quilts could find a home there.I've been having some digestive upsets so this afternoon I emptied the refrigerator of a whole lot of food. I told Doug I think the culprit has been some chicken veg. soup that has never bothered me before but seems to be a problem now. It was freshly made two days ago. Doug had no problem. Thank goodness. Old bodies are strange in how they react or don't react to what one eats. I'm ready to be over this Malizia. Two days is too much. I would add two sleepless nights.
Later in the afternoon, I did more cutting and sewing with a shoulder that was in a better mood. . Yeah. More crib quilts were started. My shoulder was a little better. Love those pills.
Early evening we attended a memorial service for Richard Clapp, an unusual guy that sang in the choir for a couple of years. Richard's only family was nieces and his sister-in-law, another quilting friend. A lot of great stories were shared by family and friends. It was a good evening of memories.
I spent some time with my stash of gardening books, Some days they help to get the long wait till spring acceptable. I walked the garden and found nothing new. It's the same old brown for now.
The night promises to be a great sleeping night. More putting together tomorrow.
