Fun Wednesday.

It was a snowy day.  I think Winny the Pooh started a story that way.  Right?  Well, it was a snowy day all day but rather a sleeper I would say.  No wind, no low temperatures.  Just a heavy soggy day of snow that was really full of water.  Lots of water and the best for a snowball fight.  Sorry to say everyone stayed in their house.

Did the crossword, drank coffee, and forgot all about wordle till evening.  The crossword was just a little stinky and I got it finished by hook and by crook.

                                                                    Dreaming again

I started on the quilts again finishing one before lunch and then finishing two more in the afternoon.  They ALL are finished.  That is the top only.  Now it's do the rest of the stuff at some point soon.

                                                            Seven...you can count them.

I must say the snow coming down was beautiful.  It was sort of the lake effect type with no lake.  Big flakes that just mozied from high up to the ground.  I thawed the birdbath water and when the snow hit the water it was a sea of plops and more plops.

While sewing my mind was full of childhood memories of sledding on a hill in the pasture and of snowmen.  And I thought, why not now?  So with gloves and boots on and the coat zipped up I  had a blast making one snowman for the back yard and one for the front yard.  Some stuff I had to relearn like how hard to push the ball across the lawn.  To hard and the ball of snow went to pieces.  Not hard enough and the snow did not stick to the ball.  There was a good trick to getting it just right.  So here are my two of my new friends.  Daisy and Tulip.  I'm sure you noticed that I'm thinking flowers!

                                                                The snow was perfect.

                                                                            Meet Daisy

                                                                            Meet Tulip
Believe me...one is never too old to make snowmen.  That way you always will have a friend.

I was thinking we should have a neighborhood snowman challenge.  I suggested that to all my grandsons and so far we only have one taker out of the five possibilities.  Where is the fun?
The first entry.  I haven't heard a peep from anyone else.                                                              I'm wondering if the fabulous five need a snowman building lesson or two or more from                                      their teacher grandma?  Poor thing has no hat or scarf.  That's a must.

  2. The snow people seem to be well dressed in fabric stolen from future quilts! And the little snowman from a grandson looks familiar - but I can't place him. Who is he? (Not the grandson, but the snowman.)
