Left over Monday.
Yes...these are the leftovers from our GREAT SUNDAY SNOW. There could be more this week! Bring it on.
(He) It is coming soon. Another song!I thought it was time for a good pot of beef stew so that all got put together. It smells so good and even looks and tastes better.
Back to sewing with the last squares nearing the finish line. Then it's decision time for what goes on the inside. Sorry to say I didn't make it to the line. Just a little too much happening and I ran out of time. I need fabric for the borders for three tops. I hope that happens tomorrow.
Four tops to go. Three are finished. It's just a little of this and that.In the afternoon it was another trip of which there have been many to the airport for our friends Joe and Sarah Ellen. For them, it's another trip to Kenya. Joe hopes to move closer to making possible a health insurance program that will work for the Kenyans.. For Sarah Ellen, it's another check with the Child Life staff. It's a program used here in the states for children who are hospitalized. It's new to Africa with very few programs of this kind anywhere on that continent. C L gives the child a say in treatment making them a pardoner rather than an object. Another trip for both of them to touch base with folks who have answers to their questions..
. Joe and Sarah Ellen are at the airport with 4 suitcases weighing 50 pounds each leaving their coats with us and for them on to a climate where winter coats are not essential. This time their visit is 6 weeks. The van has moved them on their way to Kenya many times with suitcases galore. I just needed pictures this time. It's always an adventure.
A couple of days ago I got these pictures from Nancy Baxter, my Cleveland friend. I was in shock with trees in bloom and pansies at their best. The truth was that she was in North Carolina visiting her son and the message was that change was coming but just not here yet.
