Monday...one big thing.

 The day usually has a little of this and a little of that and maybe it not such a little thing but one big thing.  Today I would say it was one big thing and no little things.

Today was another one big sewing day So far there are 5 little girl bibs waiting for buttons and button holes but are finished with the sewing part. Today I added eight little boy bibs now waiting for buttons and button holes.  I believe in holes and buttons.  I've had heard stories of little folks a bit miffed because there was no velcro on their bibs that would allow them to decide to pull their clothes protector off when they wished.  But I also have heard that the mothers of these children appreciate a chance to button the bib to their child.  I'll keep on with buttons. One little girl told her grandmother she was not happy with the grandma that made her bib.  Yikes!

I did take a break to buy buttons at JoAnn's this afternoon.  For some reason there was fabric that seemed to be connected to the buttons.  I wonder how that happened.  I'm gearing up soon to make burp cloths for mothers of new babies.  I found flannel for 70% off the original price of 9.99. And there were a few more pieces that found their way into the going home bag on sale but not at the 70 % mark.  I'm still using scraps from Kats wonderful box of odds and ends.  Don't you love the cows on the boy bib.

               This is the flannel I found for 70% off.  It's so cute and just perfect for this project  There is even a mother holding a baby along with many different folks represented.from many cultures.  
This is the second piece.  It is the perfect burp cloth because I think all the burps will be lost in the design. 

I'm beginning to feel that fabric and sewing keep me focused in the winter as the garden does in the summer.  

Buttons and buttonholes along with top stitching is tomorrows focus.

Kimmy did it again.  She guided me to the spot where now there is a change made in the blog settings  allowing comments.  If you had a google account you could do that already.  At least  that's what I think I'm reading.  So comment away when you want to.  Will be fun.                             I'm looking forward to a whole bunch of different zinnias this summer.   Finger report.  It's doing fine with a major clean up today. Wed. I'm back Thanks be to God!

This time I hope I'm back for a very long time.  The computer with pictures is finally a go and all the excitement of Sunday is over.   I don't know if I've recovered yet.  There are a few more days before the next Sunday.   For those few who don't know it was another hospital stay of a couple of days.  And it all started in the pew at church with a pass out  seizure type of thing. I think something to do with high sugar perhaps.  The whole service came to a halt for a while.  How embarrassing with a carry out by the good old EMTS.   Lots of tests I guess.  I don't remember a thing until Sunday evening with a trip into a scan machine.  I got released Tuesday and today I visited my primary care doctor for answers and I'm pretty well satisfied.  Two days in bed have really made me wobbly so I'm pretty careful about moving around.  It should get better soon.  I won't be driving for a while because of the seizure.  That's a huge bummer.  The seizure medi

Saturday.

 Today was the every other Saturday for Soup Kitchen work at church.  But before that I was up at 6 with breakfast and a little sewing time.  By 8 I was on my way to church to be at the door when Tosha would be arriving.  Sarah Ellen is in Italy for the week.  One person short makes a whole lot of difference when the soup kitchen crew is at it's usually small size.  Jack arrived earlier than usual so that was a big help and the new Cindy crew of two more folks made work time even easier.  Sometimes I feel like it's a guess who is coming to work now added to the guess who is coming to lunch.  The crowd wasn't as large as usual.  We just never know.  I say it's a crap shot not to be figured out!                                                I hope to have a lot of these orange cosmos this summer.   The morning work flew along.  I talked with Heidi about my ideas for Easter decorations.  The Easter banners are back at church and a few more decisions have been made.  Easte
