Monday...one big thing.
The day usually has a little of this and a little of that and maybe it not such a little thing but one big thing. Today I would say it was one big thing and no little things.
Girl bibsToday was another one big sewing day So far there are 5 little girl bibs waiting for buttons and button holes but are finished with the sewing part. Today I added eight little boy bibs now waiting for buttons and button holes. I believe in holes and buttons. I've had heard stories of little folks a bit miffed because there was no velcro on their bibs that would allow them to decide to pull their clothes protector off when they wished. But I also have heard that the mothers of these children appreciate a chance to button the bib to their child. I'll keep on with buttons. One little girl told her grandmother she was not happy with the grandma that made her bib. Yikes!
Boy bibs
I did take a break to buy buttons at JoAnn's this afternoon. For some reason there was fabric that seemed to be connected to the buttons. I wonder how that happened. I'm gearing up soon to make burp cloths for mothers of new babies. I found flannel for 70% off the original price of 9.99. And there were a few more pieces that found their way into the going home bag on sale but not at the 70 % mark. I'm still using scraps from Kats wonderful box of odds and ends. Don't you love the cows on the boy bib.
This is the flannel I found for 70% off. It's so cute and just perfect for this project There is even a mother holding a baby along with many different folks represented.from many cultures. This is the second piece. It is the perfect burp cloth because I think all the burps will be lost in the design.I'm beginning to feel that fabric and sewing keep me focused in the winter as the garden does in the summer.
Buttons and buttonholes along with top stitching is tomorrows focus.
