Tuesday.

I love the beginning of the week.  I think it's a head thing.  I look forward to a lot of days of a little of this and that of my choosing..  As the weekend nears I'm feeling a bit squashed together.  I think it's all in my head.

How about a good memory before the blizzard hits tonight!

This morning the Wordle was a breeze and the Crossword was a stinker. The answers were a bit off-center from my point of view.  There were a few empty blocks with a whole lot of erasing.  In my mind, it wasn't worth the fussing. I quit.

One of three small lakes at the Georgia monastery.   Two very quiet for the moment geese taking                         a swim. Now wouldn't this picture make a great puzzle?  Another family memory.

I completed another top which now makes a  total of 4.  And as promised I was off to JoAnn's again gathering the last purchase of the green, blue and black fabric.  It should be enough to finish the last three tops. By the way, I got the fabric box out to add some scraps and discovered what I thought was an almost empty box wasn't that at all.  I could make more tops but I WON"T. Then off to the drug store for rubbing alcohol.  I'm working on some spray for fabric and I needed alcohol, liquid starch, and a spray bottle. In a former recipe it called for Vodka!   You can buy this ironing stuff already made but why buy it when you can make more for less.  No liquid starch in 3 stores.  I checked online and Walmart had it.  I saved Walmart shopping for an afternoon trip and I found it along with an elusive big spray bottle.  Now I'm putting it all together. It's an excellent liquid to spray on fabric when sewing providing great creasing. Now if I could only remember the amounts of alcohol, starch, and water needed!

On line, the Sta-Flo Starch was anywhere from 39.59 to 15.00 dollars.  I got it at Walmart for less than 4.00 dollars.  Same brand, same-sized jug.  You've got to watch it!

I need to say the morning included a short trip to Aldi's to grab some ice cream among a few other things.  We have eggs, milk, and bread for the coming BIG snowstorm but thought Ice cream needed to be included in the survival kit. Yes, snow.  We've heard 3, then 8, and then more inches but I'm really expecting a sleeper.  It's pretty warm. The car got a fill-up this afternoon during the Walmart trip.  And I stopped at the sewing machine store for bobbins.  I'm all set for the Blizzard.  In this case it's not the Dairy Queen kind!  In my mind, the storm has crawled into a blizzard!!!!  Little House on the Prairie. We're all set to be socked in.  Carmel Clay Schools are shut for tomorrow.  There will be more I'm sure.  It's 9:30 pm and not a flake of snow yet.

The evening came with great food and great fellowship.

The evening was spent with the Lydia Circle.  It's a wonderful group of women from North.  There was an excellent program and a good discussion about projects for the coming months.  It was time well spent.
