Saturday.

A really busy day which is just what I want and like and enjoy and everything else.

Early in the day, it was off to church to do some last-minute things in the sanctuary.  A fresh banner for the pulpit was one thing.  A wreath celebrating Ukraine was hung on the balcony. Blue and yellow celebrate the colors of the Ukranine flag and Sunflowers are the flower of Ukranine.  Peace doves covered with mirrors hang on both sides of the wreath.

. Sunflowers will be our Altar flowers.
It's a big Sunday with choir and orchestra singing Hyden's Mass in Time of War and two other pieces, Cortney's Ukrainian Alleluia and Rutter's A Ukranian Prayer.

On the way home I stopped at the flower tent again and got another flat of small zinnias.  The dryness of the last few days really created havoc with the zinnias with most of them dying from the absence of water. It just wasn't my lucky last few days.  There were only 4 zinnia flats left at the tent.
Before the summer is half over these little zinnias will be touching each other. The bluebells were finished so what was left moved on to the garbage can making room for the zinnias.

The hard rain we had last night left the ground flat as a pancake.  So the little rake came out and I was able to fluff the big garden.  Everything looks great.  The seed zinnias and calendula are getting ready for a move filling up spaces in another week or so.

I have two wonderful Bears Breeches growing and one of them has two buds so far for flowers.  This is the beginning of a very unusual flower.  You might like to google this plant.  My neighbor Judy gave me the start of this plant and it has gifted me with more plants.
Tomorrow is the plant swap at church.  This beautiful iris came to our house through the swap.  Some years there are many flowers on this clump but not this year.  I think there will be one more stem.  It's a Nikki and Paul gift.

My little fairy has company visiting.  She arrived while we were in Michigan even bringing along some furniture.  Such a sweetheart.  I hope her visit is permeate She is such good company.

It's been a great day with a little of this and that which included time to sit on the patio that helped to generate more energy to keep on doing. I just can't give it up!!!!

To Dee.  Yes...Jacob is finished with everything.  And the truth is that I think they are all finished with everything.  Well, now maybe not Adam.  His school is often on a different schedule.  Adam continues to play soccer even though his head really takes a beating with headaches after playing. He just can't give it up!!! Medication helps a lot. He will see a concession specialist next week.  A big thanks for that.
