Monday.
Another memory. When I can I fill my mind with things to come.
The day started with breakfast of course and then an Eric commute which led to the drugstore after dropping him at the bus stop. Something for this allergic reaction to something. And it worked. It was a relatively sneeze-free day until this evening. More about to come.
A butterfly bush flower.I did some burps with the fabric that was giving me fits but not after it was washed. I read about gassing off fabric online. It seems that airing in hot wind and then washing is considered a probable solution. We can wash but there is not a whole lot of hot air blowing around. I'm tempted to bring in a large fan from the garage.
I thinned out and transplanted most of the daylily patches last summer.. We'll see if more flowers appear. They certainly were a bit sparse with crowding last summer. These pictures are from three years ago.
The afternoon Dr. appointment went well but the well includes another 30 days of medication. There is still a fungus among us! But while I was out I decided to do a little fabric shopping. Yes. All the fabric for cover-ups is now a cover-up. So back to the Nora Goodwill with the decision made that I would pay no more than 3.99 per piece. Well, that was not a problem and I came home with 5 more pieces. And I left some hanging in the store. Three pieces went to the washing machine. Those seemed to be new. Two have been around for a while and washed many times. But when sneezing started with those two, off to the washing machine for their dunking. Could it be the perfume in the soap used? Maybe so.
The milkweed crop continues to grow larger every year. Let's hope for a great summer of Monarchs in 2024. I see swamp and common milkweed in this picture. To put a bow on the afternoon doctor and shopping fabric experiences, I went grocery shopping. Yes, I had eggs, bread, and milk at home ready for the ice storm they say is coming but we needed some fillers. I think we have enough food to ignore the grocery for a while. Doug's new favorite is Chex mix with pretzles etc. I'll be filling two ice cream buckets with his new favorite tomorrow. I think I'll hide one of the buckets. It's addictive. He's always around when the groceries come home and he figured out Chex mix as soon as he saw the boxes.
The Lenten Rose, is soon to appear during Lent. Humm...we'll see what happens when Lent starts on February 14. I wonder if the plants got that message.Supper and an evening waiting for the fabric to head up to the sewing room. I'll be taking some hems apart to make a little more usable fabric. There's a place for that tiny extra just about always.
There will be much to choose from tomorrow when the sewing continues.
