Sunday

A good easy day at church and then an easy afternoon at home.  What could be better?  Not much.

I woke early and made a decision to make cookies.  This time Chocolate Chips.  It would seem that Saturday started with cookies.  I'm sure Monday will not!  The youth group did such a wonderful job of putting Christmas away at church last Sunday so I thought a C Chip payday was well-deserved.  And the cookies were well received.

Such a confused look on Doug's face when his nose gave him the cookie message. Two mornings in a row seemed unreal to him.  Like usual a taste test was in order and he approved.  90% left the house.

Celebrating Jack Leonard's 81st birthday and given by his wife Jacklyn..  The flowers were eye candy.  Such a blast of color was certainly appreciated. As usual, there were two arrangements.

After church, Ginnie got her coverups and all the important stuff was said and we moved on home.

The afternoon was filled with absolutely nothing except for walking in the garden.  I decontaminated a small flower garden ridding the spot of those pesky green good-for-nothing weeds. More areas are waiting. The air was a bit colder than I expected so the outside stay ended a little early.

Shutting down the workroom was a great idea.  Tomorrow I'll head to church to get a bag of fabric that was forgotten today.  Thinking Lent and checking on a few things will fill tomorrow's agenda.

  1. The cookies look great! I hope you remember to follow Rick's Rule and put in double the amount of chips listed in the recipe.
