Friday
There were big gaps in the night that I used it to look up information on the computer. I learned a whole lot. The topic was hip pain, and I discovered a correlation between breast cancer and bone cancer. Surprise, surprise.
A snowball hydrangea I think in it's third or fourth year. Rain at the right time has made this a stunning display of snowballs. This is a long ago plant from the church swap. That gave me a clue about what direction to go in the morning. I left a message wanting a return call from my breast cancer doctor's nurse asking for Xray clarification. Starting detective work with Dr. Schneider seemed to be a better fit instead of starting with an orthopedic doctor who knew nothing about my health history. The evaluation of the Xray confirmed that a next step was needed. I'm waiting for a phone call confirming a bone scan date. It may take a few weeks for that to be scheduled but I can say the next train leading to the discovery of why there is hip pain is on the tracks with all aboard given. That's a good feeling. If the scan proves all is well then, the next step, if there is one will be discussed
One of Doug's nice rocks made it to another flowerbed.
I did some plant work with more seeds in the ground. Not many but a few more. I dug out one of the dying swamp milkweed with the thought there should be two more plants that could go. They are not healthy and when looking at the roots the story seems to be that no new growth is found. They are over the hill so to speak.A nice little path connecting two yards.
In the afternoon the Cathedral singer altos met at Kathy's house. That meeting went from two to seven. And what was on the agenda? TALK. Thats all. Just TALK. And the words were everywhere. It was so good to listen and hear what was on their minds. I am so blessed to have such good friends. Some have been around for 50 years. We've carried each other over many miles of living.
Dusty Miller starting to grow into something a little bigger.
So Friday is just about over. Tomorrow there will be a trip to church with grasses and more for the altar arrangements. I love to make that possible with things from the garden. There will be pictures.
