Saturday

It's been a crazy day. It started with more cinnamon rolls and then a little visiting and then it was out the door to the yard where we stayed all day long.

The hum of the chainsaws were in the air but not before the piliated birds visited.  Yes, it was chain saw heaven some would say.  The huge maple tree got its promised trim that was needed. That took a long time with the grandsons stacking wood.

A skill they have learned well and can be demonstrated with great execution.  Some was stacked and branches piled as to dead or alive with many ending up on the burn pile before the day was over.  Others were left for Doug to take care of but not many.

Then it was on to two oak trees and a crab apple.  Add the smoke tree and another very old huge maple tree. The stacked wood was put on some internet advertisement place and all disappeared after supper with a super happy couple dropping by and leaving with a car load of wood for something.

                                            Three grandsons busy doing something.

I would say there was a break for some folks to go for Dunkin Donut stuff around noon that always happens on Saturday morning for the Michigan family.  They have no idea how to get out of that ditch of a habit.

We made piles of stuff in the yard and at some point, the decision was made to drag stuff to the burn pile that was kept busy for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

Lunch happened and then the force got back to work finishing the job started in the morning.  Then another project was talked about.  By the way...Kimmy always is happiest when doing a project.

This one was fixing the walkway so that the water drained better.  That meant that Jacob and I motored up to Ace Hardware for some pea gravel to level the area.  It was fixed. Amazing

One of many cosmoses to come in the next month or two.
There was pizza for supper with Doug's retrieval from the freezer and Eric's doing the honor of all that was needed for us to eat.

There was one final project and that was finding a way to get new pictures back on the blog.  That took Jared and Kimmy with Jacob coming to the rescue. Some things take a village.  This time it was the family. Count your many blessings.  Name them one by one.  That's my song for days like this.

In case you are wondering...Friday night I talked to both Jacob's girl friend Abi and Hope, Adam's girl friend at the same time via two iphones.  It was a blast and if you play the video I know there was a lot of laughing.  Good luck.
