Tuesday
Seeing forsythia blooming now is just as crazy as seeing Pansey's planted in the fall. I am a traditionalist.
Up early and it's time for breakfast. That meal hasn't been easy lately. Eating isn't exactly what I want to do. That's not good for a body that needs nourishment. Eggs with a whole lot of interesting things added. Oatmeal with fruit, all uck. Today I just tried fruit by itself for breakfast. Half of a banana, a plum, and some grapes. It went better and I finished all of it eventually. That might work for a while. That would be good. Later I added an English Muffin. That was a lot of food.
There was TV and coffee and then it was time to get busy. So, I cut and sews more burps That felt good and filled the morning.
Ten more babies taken care of. 12 more burps ready for sewing tomorrow. There was lunch and then I decided it was warm enough for a walk. And this time Doug went with me. We talked with another gardening neighbor, said hello to a grandmother strolling her sleeping grandson. She kept on going happy, I'm sure that her baby was asleep. She walked laps around us several times.
Just down the street from our house. It was another wonderful long walk followed by a great sleep. There were 10 burps to declare finished, in the afternoon. We made a trip to Meijers to check on the protein drinks. We got an old friend Boost which has 20 grams of protein as well as a Meijers brand that has 30. Boost was a friend for my first surgery. Protein drinks should be accompanied with some food, and I'll continue that. I have friends who have serious bone issues when relying just on the drink. Be aware.
Dr. Schnider drinks M and M...Muscle Milk! The Meijer's brand isn't bad. I like the price and 30 protein grams.I did a little more outside clean-up, pitching palms I was hoping would be useable. They were trash. I changed a few things with the bird feeders, putting away the hummingbird feeders and moving a few things to new places and chopped down some Hosta's.
All clean ready for the snow and then spring will be back again.Wound up the garden hose and found a place in the garage for the sprayed cat tails. Doug moved the B Blues to the street for pick up tomorrow. I picked out a few more Mexican Sunflower seeds to package. I want to do more.
More seeds.I really like discovering little black specks that will change to beautiful orange flowers. It's all things that are telling me the weather is changing. It's almost Halloween and we've had no killing frost yet. Some years we've had a snowy trick or treat night. We could be spared big time this year.
I'm wondering if the candy will last till the trick or treaters get here?So another day of stuff. I feel like doing stuff. I call it a gift that comes my way. I am grateful. My body is yelling rest. I think it's a great word. Day is done and so am I.
