Wednesday
Trash day. A super marker for mid-way through the week. Another morning with a little fruit. So far so good. I started on the next 10 burps sewing 5 during the morning and finishing up with the last 5 after lunch.
It's the next twenty. They keep adding up.After filling bobbins this morning, I realized I had a problem with the sewing machine. It happened once before, and the solution was to take it to the magic men. A smidgen of a piece of thread had gotten stuck in a place that only could be removed by someone with sewing machine tools that I didn't have. So off we went, and I'm happy to say I had made the correct diagnoses. The problem was corrected, and I also got an evaluation about a lot of other problems that were evident. I wasn't surprised. It's been years and years since anything has been corrected in that machine. I'm back home with it but have an appointment the 6th of January that will include a major overhaul. My little Pfaff should be working like new after that appointment. It should work 20 more years.
I did a little work improving the look of Superior rocks lining one of the flower beds. I think that job has been completed now for all the beds having rock outlines.
This is the way it ends. A crisp edging holding many memories.More seed gathering happened.
Some in seed envelopes ready to give away and some ready to go in seed envelopes. From tiny seeds comes this magnificent plant with many flowers.
Today is the first day for early voting in Carmel. We talked about when would be our best time to make the trip to vote. I thought we might go on Friday avoiding the early crowd. Doug wanted to go today so we gave it a try. There is a west, central and east location for early voting. We tried the east site closest to us, and the parking lot was full, people waiting in line for a place to park. So, we just came back home. We'll try again after supper. I would guess Friday might be even better. I'm taking Stella which should help with the wait. I'll be back with the voting crowd news later.
When arriving back home after our first voting adventure, there was a very long nap. I was tired, very tired. I'm getting close to the end of the third week of medication so it should not be a surprise that is happening. I'm looking forward to week four which I call the free, no meds week starting next Tuesday! I felt wonderful on my last free week. Bring it on.
The excursions out were eye popping. The hardwood Maples are so beautiful making me want to see more. There is nothing better than a Gum tree painted with fall colors.
Supper was quick and easy. What can be better than Chili on a chili evening. Doug will have a big bowl. I'll have a small bowl. We'll both be happy. Looking forward to an evening wrapped up in my electric throw. That's a toasty feeling.
Voting report...The doors closed at 7. I was outside at 4:30 and there was a drop in temperature as well as more wind so the decision to wait another day or two was made. Waiting outside with the sun not at it's best could be painful. Bring cold rather than warm is another surprising change I noticed that come along. Friday voting starts at 10:30 am. That's more my style.
