Saturday

We need some flowers to start the blog.

There was a little problem getting to sleep last night.  I'm not to surprised anymore because that problem has been with me for a while.  My doctor papers say it's part of my life for a while.  I believe my body received a jolt with the two latest Fulvestrant shots.  What I think will always be just around the corner are surprises when medication and body come together. It shouldn't get boring. Now if "Kisqali brain is not overpowering me, that would be helpful.  Trying to keep pounds from flying away is another one of my jobs to work on. There probably be more things to work on in the days ahead.

                                                            More about this later.

On to something better.  This morning was a cool easy go for quite a while.  I ate a bigger breakfast happy to find something that I could down easier.  That's a ringer.  I did some sewing on a few burps I worked on yesterday.

                                                                  Back in business!

Kat ordered more white thread which should arrive today.  In the meantime, I'm using some of Doris D's thread that will not harm the machine.

This is our solution when there are no altar flowers given for All Saints Sunday.                                                                                    I think it's a good one.

When Doug had all his morning necessaries finished, we headed to church to finish the All-Saints doings by adding two new candles.  Heidi was there working on a window arrangement that looks stunning and fresh with an autumn theme.  I would say visually tomorrow should minister to folks again. Seeing families pausing at one of the tables praying and lighting candles always warms my heart.

A pulpit hanging I made after a Kevin Armstrong request many years ago.  The Alpha and the Omega.                                                 God is at our beginning and our end.

On the way home we stopped at Aldi's to pick up a few things that will allow me to get started on Georgia stuff with chili, sloppy joes, breakfast rolls, cookies and more.  All of those fixings will keep me busy for a few days.  My hope is to get the chili finished today.

I caught Mr. Flicker at the feeder along with Mr. Red Bellied Woodpecker while working in the kitchen.

Then it was lunch and time for the chair which gave me a long sleep that I'll add to last night's nap.  I'm grateful for time to catch up.  Some folks might not be so fortunate.

During the afternoon I took advantage of another beautiful fall day with sunshine walking Stella around the block. That always puts me in a good mood.  Who can't smile when the sun is electrifying everything.

I finished enough burps to have another 10 to add to the stash.  And the plastic bags assembled for church carry out meals now numbers enough ready for all the Saturdays we serve until the new year.  Yup.  It's that thing called working ahead.  It's part of my life.

Today is another Saturday leading to another Sunday.  How fortunate I am when Church Day comes around again hearing good preaching, music and being with friends. All Saints Sunday, one of my favorite saying a prayer lighting a candle remembering those who have meant a lot to me now with the saints.

Then there is the Lord of the Dance...Tis a gift to be...Dance, dance wherever you may be. I am the Lord of the dance said he.

I'll add what I'm trying to live by.

I read this every day while working in the kitchen. When the hurricanes come, I look for shelter.

Read Psalms 91:1-2   You who live in the shelter of the Most High who abide in the shadow of the Almighty will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress: my God in whom I trust".
