Thursday

This morning was one of those gray mornings that felt damp and dank.  It was a great morning not to look out the window.  And the energy level was pretty low so the chair held a sleeping Lela for more minutes than planned.

Gorgeous reminders of a summer gone..

Finally, a little after 10 it was time to hit the road once again for I U North.  Our path north needs to change sooner than later.  This time it was only to a once a year heart doc visit who takes care of my heart when it's racing.  Once a year isn't so bad.  I would say the report was pretty good with a mild change in medication, because of lab news and a return in 3 months for another EKG. A doctor visit again in 6 months.  Pretty good deal.  That's the plan right now.

Then back home and an afternoon with my friend Heidi with a demo on how to make an Advent Candle.  I've written and pictured all the instructions, but Heidi wanted to see the actual process.  And since one of the candles needed a remelt, the actual possibility of seeing a redo made the demo possible.  It seems as if I have poured candles for more years than I am old.

Getting started to begin the candle making process.

We had a great time talking and talking and then we did more of the same going over all of the things that had to be done to get December going visually at North again  I heard her remodeling story.  It seems her house will be torn up until Feb.  A lot of changes are coming.  I sent her home with some soup for supper.  Her microwave is working.  So, it was time well spent.

The candle in it's mold is outside on the patio overnight.  By tomorrow it will be solid and will have shrunk just enough allowing it to be push it out of the mold.  Well, that is the HOPE!

Summertime and the living is easy.  So many pretty parts to this flower.

Supper was soup for us as usual and the evening was a quiet one.  Just what I like.
