Tuesday

A day all too busy but the best news is that I kept up!   I think.

The morning included trouble and then good news, frustrating news and then good news.  At least it ended correctly.

The first troubling and then good news...

I was thinking about the Christmas Eve Candle lighting Service.  Do we have enough candles?  Some time ago I told Jennifer to order more and come last Sunday I forgot all about it until reminded.  She didn't order seemed to be the message.  So, this morning I headed to church with another option in mind, doing what we did years ago.  The good news is that we have enough of our first choice.  Now it's getting them ready for use which should happen with at least half of them on Sunday hiring the youth again.  We would be sunk without them.

The frustrating news...

The third Sunday of Advent is normally the Mary Sunday.  So we did everything we do visually last Sunday.  Pink Poinsettias, the statue of pregnant Mary and Mirror Mary.  So, the second thing after candle counting that happened today was to put Mary away for the year, change the poinsettia and change the altar arrangement. Mary was GONE!  All was ready for Sunday. Then after a brief conversation with Pastor Darren, he just happened to mention that the Mary Sunday was coming on the fourth Sunday of Advent this year.  So back she came along with her banner, pink poinsettia and more.  It would be great to be in on changes but that did not happen this year.  That was really frustrating.  The morning was a long one of work.

Looking a little different than last Sunday. There are always different ways to do visuals.

The Advent Candles are on the left side altar.

But when everything was in its place again ready for worship all was well.  I called the morning a roller coaster morning.  Some days are like that, even in Indianapolis.

In this picture the angle is missing.  I might say she was a fallen angle needing a little hospitalization which happened.  She is ready to take her place Sunday.  So are...Mary has needed hand surgery a couple of years ago.  Joseph lost his halo this year.  The angel went through a beheading this morning.  Jesus has escaped.  He must have a guardian angel somewhere watching over him.

The altar is a dangerous place.  Even Issaic must have thought that.

Just home from the ER.  It was a divine recovery. She is sporting a new pearl necklace.

Then it was home for lunch and a trip to the library to get the book finally waiting on the shelf for me.  It's a thick one and will take time to reach the end with the history of cancer.  It should be interesting.

I had one more doctor's appointment, this time with my diabetic doctor.  I was sure insulin was going to be prescribed but it wasn't.  She was happy with all my numbers and say Metformin was doing what it should.  Woo... Two good doctor days in a row.  It's been a super two days with the hope of more to come.

Today I had forms completed for handy capped parking.  Walking far can be a challenge when my pelvic bone spot is saying ouch after a few steps and I thought, why not.  It has been ouching since March. We'll see how this goes. Tomorrow I'll take the papers to the DMV.  That's the next step.

Supper once again was soup and crackers and then the evening was spent in the chair.  I earned every bit of what was coming to me for evening entertainment.  I'm expecting a little TV and a book and then a good night of sleep.  Last night was decent in that respect.  So I'm grateful for all that was on my plate today.  Even those moments of putting back what had been packed away.  Just more of life I would say.

                                                                Another evening sky.
