Wednesday
Ready for Sunday. I found her at the monastery a couple of years ago.
Up not so early after a great night of sleep. My first stop today was at the DMV to submit my papers for a handy capped parking ticket. That went smoothly with no problems. The forms printed from the computer were filled out correctly and I walked out about 30 minutes after arriving. My goodness. The DMV is very near Goodwill and of course you know where I went.
I used the parking sticker at Goodwill. It really was a huge help. I found two very nice new flannel sheets with the correct price surprise, surprise. The same price as at my favorite Nora shop. They came home with me. I refolded the top sheet and took off the elastic on the bottom sheet getting that ready for ripping AND more baby burps.
Then it was time to hit the cancer book again. It is so interesting with so many details concerning how treatments evolved during the 1800's. A lot happened. Some good and some really bad. Medicine is a practice you have heard. Living in the 21st century certainly has its perks when it comes to treatment.
Same book you saw yesterday or maybe the day before. I can't remember.Around 1:30 I was ready for the Y. Doug was also. Another new beginning. And that blue sign certainly came in handy when parking again. Unlike Doug, I was a very slow walker for about 50 minutes listing to U Tube Christmas music. I loved the diversion and looked forward to tomorrow even before I left the Y. It felt like another home away from home.
I continued to work on a Christmas something. I can't give any clues other than it makes me laugh just thinking about it. Each family will get one. It's such a bummer that Kimmy reads the blog. Maybe a bummer! There are no secrets if I post and she reads. And there are no pictures. One is finished and one more to go although I want a third one for myself.
An old Christmas picture. Beats me where I took this. I've slept since then.Supper was turkey veg. soup. Something just a bit different than split pea. This morning Jared asked about the corn chowder I made a few weeks ago. Well, I looked at recipes and then made my own soup with what was in the refrigerator after the Thanksgiving meal was over. Soup is always a little of this and that in my mind. That's what the chowder was. They loved it but they were really hungry after cleaning all day. But if your favorite foods are corn and mashed potatoes, why would you not like corn chowder.
It's another no picture taking day with one exception. I'll need to dig something up for some added excitement.
