Friday

This post is going to be easy.  I got up, ate breakfast. Took Eric to catch the bus.  Came home.  There were a few major events to share.  For some unknown reason I did a lot of sleeping all day.  Then major news came late in the afternoon.   In between the sleeping events I either knitted or pulled the knitting apart because I didn't like what I was putting together.  So far this is what I've gotten.

                                                        So far, so good.  MAYBE!

I watched a little news which seemed to be rehashing and then more rehashing.  So, I moved on to Building off the Grid really desperate for something else to watch between naps and knitting.  Sleeping did seem to be the winner for most of the day at least until 2:30. I guess I could call it another day of pampering.

Now what might be called as two major events of the day... Doug got his I U phone call with a lot of information about his scheduled ROUTER ROOTER or Heart Cauterization scheduled for next Wednesday. I cheered him on with it's his turn now. I'm wondering if that was very nice. I suspect it's stent time again. Wednesday will tell us more. He's been there and done that twice. The third time is a charm or hat trick! Some would say.

I received a letter about signing up for financial aid for Kisqali, my cancer medication again.  We sent that information to the company last week. I thought I had jumped through all the hoops.  So, I made a phone call and a lady from Texas answered who was working for Novartis, the maker of my pills.  She pulled up my information and told me I had been approved for another year.  Woo.  From beginning to end another roller coaster ride.  From darkness to light as Doris named an Easter Banner, I showed Heidi on Wed.  All that sleep came in handy supporting the majors of the day that came along with the minors.

The weather has been warmer today.  There are still piles of snow, but they are smaller and smaller.  I suspect by tomorrow they will be gone.  I took another walk around the yard and found a few interesting things.  That is if you are a gardener.

Jonquils trying to peak through.  Last year they were poky in blooming.  I expect more this year.

We have a very old maple tree in the back yard.  Artist Fungus grows on the bark.  I call them squirrel seats.  My fairy things sat on the fungus shelves.  And would you know...I think the squirrels carried Ms. Fairy away.  Maybe they needed a mother.  Her house and furniture are still waiting for her to appear again.

So the day had it's sleepy parts, interesting parts. frustrating parts, informative parts.  Just a lot of parts.

I fixed a Shephard's Pie for supper.  Mashed potato topping. It tasted pretty good.                      I think with a pie crust on top, the new name will be pot pie!  It's all in the name.                                                      There is more of the same inner stuff in the refrigerator.
