Thursday.
No new pictures today. So, you get a few old ones.
Today was the second workday of the week at church. There were 6 workers as busy as bees all morning. For some of us the 2 hours of work turned into 3 but that completed the assignments for today.
Perennial Sweet Peas.We took down Christmas banners and put up green banners for ordinary time. The shell angels were collected from various places and eventually via Heidi, "flew" back to their home in the attic. Roping and greenery were bagged from various places and labeled and sent to the same attic. More banners were changed in the west entry.
From my friend Kathy's garden. She is the queen of Daliah's.There was one heck of a mess in the banner closet with a whole lot of things to stash back in containers and then placed on the shelves. I worked with Joe CW and we really worked to make that space usable again. He was a life saver doing everything I asked. Thank you ladder worker Joe. We made it all fit. It would not have happened without your help.
The nativity ornaments on the Christmas Tree were packed for another year via great packer Laural. The carts were prepared for more nativity packing Sunday after the second service. There was just a bee hive of work going on with no one taking a break but keeping the goal of packing up the season in mind. We did it.
We might get some of this soon. I'm over the brown season. Bring on something else.I packed up the broken candles along with more glass votives for molds and the hope is that tomorrow there will be more melting happening. I didn't forget them today! The 33 votives finished yesterday are back at church now waiting till December '25. Other candles were sorted and stored away in the sacristy. The candle closet now has more room with the wedding candelabra stored elsewhere. Woo. That was a huge necessity.
A little bit of everything in this picture.I was home for about 30 minutes and then it was I U North hospital time for the monthly two shots of Fulvestrant. Things were a little slow at the hospital and I certainly didn't mind that at all. I dropped off some containers at the other Russell house and then on to the library returning two of my cancer books. Woo. It was time to go home.
The Sugar Bowl game with Georgia and Notre Dame playing happened today and my chair was happy to have an occupant. ME!
Remember yesterday? Not much happened. Talk about opposites. They seem to rule my life. Some days...you know the rest. I suspect tomorrow will be the opposite of today. Candle making isn't so hard. So onward and forward. It's a busy life. Just what my mind needs with the hope is that my body can keep up. So far, so good.
