Thursday

 Once again, it's a day without current pictures.  So you get some old ones.  The current pictures would be white.  Boring in my book.  It was a pretty simple day.  Electricity stayed on, No trips to the church or library.  Just simple.

Breakfast as usual and birds as usual.  Bossy Robin is still with us playing king of the flock. 

 While the sewing machine was still in the fix it shop, I did a lot of ripping and marking getting flannel ready for sewing. So today I sewed almost all morning and into the afternoon.  My back was sore, so I suggested the Y to get some walking done.  Doug was ready to go and much to my delight I walked a mile at a pretty good pace.  Mozart music does that.  I moved to another machine that I like and did 20 minutes on that one.  Still with Mozart.  I could control the tempo of the machine to match Mozart's tempo. I liked that better.  I would like to stay at least an hour at the Y.  Doug is always ready to go after about 30 minutes of work.  Today it was almost an hour. 

 

                    It's a Superior water washed cedar tree with roots exposed to the rigors of the lake. 

There was a stop at the drug store again.  It's time to fill the pill containers again for two weeks.  

I started fixing supper with meatloaf and cooked and then fried potatoes.  Yum.  It was a bit early but Eric needed a pickup since Andrew had the car to get him to choir practice.  Another this time younger Russell making a contribution to the worship experience at North. 


Stunning.  Flowers like these bring back so many good memories.  I think these came from Carry's back yard,  I saved some seed and hope they are growing in my garden this year.  One can only hope. 

The evening brought more time for knitting.  The number one scarf is about halfway finished.  I'll see where that goes tonight.  JoAnn has a huge yarn sale going on.  I may need to peruse the offerings.  One more white skein, different than what I bought yesterday would be good to have. I'm not entirely satisfied with the first buy but it will do.  

                                                Can spring be far behind?  So sorry to say No.                                                            

Pacers play tonight.  It's much better than politics right now.  That platform has a long way to go to get better.  I don't think I'll be around to see that day. Who knows?

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

 Another great celebration with family with a few little twists as sometimes families can produce.  But celebrate we did with lots of food and lots of card games and just lots of everything that makes memories.  We're tired and glad to say the celebration as good as it was, is over for another year.  And we're looking forward to seeing what a year from now brings.  Today was a day of picking up the pieces to move into busy December. A bit of Christmas decorating happened at home.                                        The stockings were hung.  At least two you see and three you don't. Amazing Saturday

 For many reasons it has been an amazing day.  One to remember as long as memory allows me.   Once again sleep did not stick with me, so I was once again out of bed around 1 last night.  I thought of checking the IU Portal for whatever it was going to tell me.  And it did a lot of talking about the scan that happened Wednesday.  The Easter portal news is that all cancer related things seem to be pretty stable with even some slight improvement in one area. Ever so slight but that still is great news.  So. for now, I feel like the stone has been rolled away and new life is with me.  Thanks be to God.  So back to bed and I slept till 6.  I'll take it with Thanksgiving.  Breakfast came and the clock proved it was time to leave for Church to get a jump on Easter visuals before the crew arrived.                 New members Hannah and Andrew working in the chapel with the lamb and...
