Thursday
Up and ready for the day.
It started with the usual and then what might become more usual, it was off to church at 8:15 for a morning of work. This morning was designated as a work morning with Heidi. And we did work. The goal was to look through two cabinets to discover what was there and pitch anything that had hung around for way to long with never having been used. We accomplished both although the second...not so much because we continue to use things now and then.
Just rearranging things gave us more room. Now to keep it organized. When we are finished all the spaces will be taken.Heidi fixed a window arrangement. She isn't real comfortable about that but I think with time she will work her way into that skill more easily. Husband James is more comfortable with that sort of thing.
So, I left church around 12:30 and on to the Carmel Library to return a stack of books. Carmel has what I think is a bit unusual return system. There is a date set for returns but there is also a rather big grace period. There is never a daily fine fee, But if the book is not returned after the grace period of unknown length at this time, then the fine become the price of the book. Is that clear to you?
It was home around 2 having skipped Hobby Lobby for a yarn purchase. This morning, I found a lost knitting container with more needles and a couple of skeins of yarn. Purple and black and white. I'm in good shape to continue knitting for a while.
I spent some time opening 60 plastic bags for soup kitchen use on Saturday. Doing that here is a job finished today and not Saturday. Working ahead again making things easier on Saturday.
60 plastic bags opened ready to be filled with food Saturday. There was another drug drive for Doug. And a few phone doctor scheduling calls. The morning work took some energy but there was plenty left over for afternoon needs. I'm feeling pretty good and grateful for that. Doug seems to be coming around more so I would say we're doing well.
A few finished but more to sew. Lately, time was pretty sparce for completing burps.
Home again and a really yummy soup for supper with apples and blueberries on the side. Then it felt like the bottom fell away and the energy left. Woo. A great day of brain stimulation with an evening on the chair. Maybe knitting, maybe not.
Another Bow scarf ready for someone. Practice does improve the results. Determining the best needle size does help if one doesn't have that king of instruction. The temperature has moderated. The birds were a little sparce when I was looking, and Botox treatments have ceased for the moment. That's a very good thing. Tomorrow should even be warmer although we had a beautiful dusting of snow this afternoon. It was a reminder of the lake affect snow often seen in Ohio years and years ago when growing up there..
