Thursday
Today wasn't like yesterday. That was a good thing. I took Eric to catch his bus downtown. His driving family members are still flu sick and I'm happy to help out. That's what family is for. Then it was back home. Doug took off to Saxony for his stress test. Poor Doug didn't get the family treatment. Bad wife. The test took all morning, with a decision perhaps at the beginning of the week. I hate it when stuff happens over the weekend. But we are at a better place than we were this morning. That's where I want to be. At a better place!
My body needed more pampering today, so I really took it easy with sitting, watching TV and doing a little more sewing both morning and afternoon. Twenty more burps are in the finished box. There was nothing that took a whole lot of energy. Just pampering some still wabbly, tired legs and other body parts.
The succulents are showing a little growth. Not much yet but there is hope.
I'm doing a lot of thinking about what needs to happen next with our grand plan of Wednesday church workdays. A few things are floating to the top for consideration. We talked with Pastor Darren yesterday about the candle lit service happening in March. I think we're getting really pumped about possibilities.
The weather was a bit warmer so there was another walk outside looking for evidence of the coming of Lent. And although the snow has created havoc with the Lenten Rose plants a little bit of digging with my hands proved there was evidence that Lent was coming although not for a while. That little bit of color in the center will become a light green flower.
I checked the freezer to get started on the evening meal and turkey emerged with a grape/walnut/celery/turkey salad declared the winner. That was put together early making the 5 pm work easy.
I'm adding coffee to make this a warm meal. I hope it works. So I would call today a winner. Easy does it when I'm thinking and doing. It's not so easy when I'm NOT thinking but still doing.
Kisqali is here for another month and that does make me feel SPECIAL!Last night's Pacer game was awesome. Halliburton was fun to watch. It's quite evident he loves to play basketball. The team really poured it on the whole way to the very end.
