Thursday
Today was much like yesterday with perhaps one exception. I went to church at the Washington Cathedral watching the service honoring Jimmy Carter. It was remarkable in so many ways. I'm glad I had the time to see and hear his service.
Old vacation memories along Lake Superior. There was bird watching from time to time with nothing unusual happening. My friend Rita who lives two miles south of us entertained the Hawk this afternoon.
I'm happy to see that he is getting around. Lake Superior rooks framing a summer garden. Snow doesn't come close to color.
Doug and I spent some time at the Y doing our thing. I'm on the treadmill and bike again. Doug does the treadmill and the machines. Rita and Bob were there. We stayed a little longer today.
There was some TV watching about the fire. Eric and Kat have good friends living approximately 10 miles east of the inferno. Then an evening of college football with Notre Dame and Penn State. Wintertime turns me into a hermit. I might to some ripping of flannel tomorrow. Sewing needs to come later.
Something is missing.
Love this Lake Superior photo. Looking forward to your next trip north! Leslie
