Tuesday

Today as always, I'm thankful and grateful for another day of living the life that I have, remembering those who do not have what I have.  That is food for the day, a warm place to be, and friends who want to make life better for me.  I am grateful.

Which flower picture to choose for the blog?  It's a wonderful dilemma to have. They all say pick me!

So the day started again with all the usual.  But I do want to mention that warm huge cup of coffee.  It's a great marker that tells me life is good.

The morning included more sewing. Lots of it.  Sometimes I think about my sewing machine as the little engine that could.  Then the Chattanooga Choo Choo comes to mind as I round the ends of the burps.

This is the spot to round the bend.  There have been a lot of bends to navigate.

If we take the western route to Georgia through Nashville, when entering Chattanooga, we follow choo choo train tracks around a lot of hills and along the Tennessee River.  It would seem that music just fits with the sound of the sewing machine engine moving the needle up and down like a choo, choo.  I'm edging up to another 100 burps.  Give me another day or two and I'll be there.  Entering Chattanooga from the west via Nashville is a nightmare experience.  It's a piece of Mom's apple pie entering from the east through Knoxville.  It took us many trips to Georgia to figure that out.  We're slow learners.

Three stacks of ten waiting and then there is another bag of 100 to fill.

Finally, after more than enough rescheduling's of an appointment, I saw my primary doctor this afternoon.  We reviewed a whole lot of things, identified a few things that need correcting but are not of a serious nature but serious enough for some attention.  There will be another follow up appointment in two weeks. We're staying on what needs to be stayed on making a few more phone calls tomorrow. Taking care of this body is two full time jobs.  Maybe three.

Another soup from the freezer for supper and then a trip to Broad ripple to move Eric on home.  The flu has gotten everyone at that household except Eric.  What a bummer with elevated temps and the need for sleep.  Let's hope Eric escapes.

  1. Yes, Chattanooga from Nashville is tricky and unnerving but nothing like going south on 75 in Atlanta and trying to negotiate getting onto 20 West when all kinds of other highways are mergins and leaving and cars are flipping in and out and signs are confusing or too late to do any good . . . I think you usually take 285 (the perimeter) which is wise - although it can be congested at rush hour (as you know).
