Wednesday.
What an easy day. No electrical upheaval. I call that an easy day. And the house is still here, and the breakers are all doing their job of keeping the lights on. I must have done something right.
The morning started as usual with the birds, coffee and breakfast. There was some ironing of burps but not much and then I was on my way to meet Heidi at church. I started out a little late. so, I was a little late arriving. That is a sure thing to happen never able to make up the time lost. There is no need to try.
The Sunday sermon is about Jesus' first miracle, the water into wine at the wedding. Heidi worked on the altar.
The water into wine. The first miracle in the ministry of Jesus.I headed for a stack of boxes holding Christmas Candles in the narthex. I spent some time sorting through burned, bent candles and some good enough to use Dec. 24th 2025. They are stacked and ready to go. The throw out candles came home with me, and I suspect there will be more candle making soon. We spent some time in the sacristy looking through drawers and talking through how things might be used. Some banners in that area were covered and a table was cleared of clutter. A few other things found their home again.
There were other places needing to be whipped into shape. We received more donated ribbon so that needed to be stored with other ribbon. And that led to going through all the ribbon of which there are many containers filled with all blue, all white, all purple, all gold and even more to use throughout the church year. That took a while to complete. But once again...we know what we have.
I wanted to work in the candle closet but ran out of time. Those shelves are messy. Almost in every visual arts spot, other people also store things. Many people with hurried schedules can create mess including us. there will be another morning of putting away things at some point.
I texted Heidi tonight wondering if we should set a morning each week for a while to go through things at church. It sounds like a good idea to me refreshing my memory and helping Heidi to more fully understand the visual arts work at North.
At noon I headed north calling the church day finished. I stopped at Hobby Lobby for a little yarn and then headed home.
The chair welcomed me. I did some knitting this afternoon with a lot of ripping that hopefully will lead to success with different sized needles and different sized yarn. My big 13's should be here tomorrow. I need to work out a few knitting problems.
I did some sleeping as usual. Supper was soup again and during preparation I kept track of my birds. Bossy Robin was with me again chasing off the Blue Birds as he usually does. He ignores all other birds.
There are no plans for the evening so it's a do what I want to do evening. The day has been good. A different environment such as church can be energizing. I enjoy that.
