 Thursday

This will be a short entry tonight.  So here is the story.  A couple of weeks ago the gas door on the car would not open.  It one doesn't feed the car gas it doesn't go as you all know.  Doug took the car to the Honda shop, and they opened it but it needed to have a part ordered to fix it.  So today Doug took the car back and it was fix.  That was Doug's gig in the morning. His story gets longer in a minute.

As some of you know, I finished the second scarf last night with the thought in mind to finish the third one today.  Well, that didn't happen.  I did start one and knitted all morning with just about half of it finished doing that while Doug was gone.  The afternoon had its own story to write.

Doug came home at noon and had the news that he had been talking to Tom who has helped us with our car leases over the years.  And there was a deal in the works if I was interested.  Well, I wasn't but Doug kept talking.  So I went with him to see what he was talking about.  And you guessed it.  We ended up with a Red CR=V Honda.

It would seem that the days of having an Odessey might be past. Doug thinks our days of camping are over.  That was the main reason to have such a big car.  But I think we could pack this new one full although it isn't quite as big and continue on with some summer fun.  But we'll see.  Camping takes a lot of energy and after this afternoon the energy bucket is empty. There were two trips home to get the right papers.  Eric needed a pick-up and then our clean out the old car attempt resulted in something left in the car like a credit gas car so another trip back to Honda.  There was just a whole lot of back and forth. Although it's not very far like a couple of miles to Honda, it still took energy to fly those miles.   We finished eating supper at 8:15.

So now you know why this is a short blog entry.  Stuff happened.  And tonight, once again I say I'm staying home tomorrow.  This time for sure.  At least that is my hope. So, at this house be prepared for surprises.

  1. Good looking car. Looks fast!

  2. We have at least THREE CRVs and we love them. But no red. When Br. Cal and our business manage went out to get a new one recently I pushed for a bright yellow one. They came back with executive gray (or some name like that). Boring. The red is jazzy.

  3. Does it have a heated steering wheel? That's what I'd be looking for in this weather. . .
