Thursday
A great night of sleep and a decent wake up. Six AM and time for myself. Breakfast as usual. A little knitting as usual and a whole lot of bird work filling all the feeders, thawing the water and watching the whole bird family coming for their first meal of the day. They have many meals, and I would suppose that is one of the things that fights off the cold for them. It was a bundled up outside time clearing the patio first of another small snow fall and then a walk to the street for the paper.
Here is a list of morning visitors: finch, red-bellied woodpecker, flicker, robin, hairy woodpecker, downy woodpecker, chickadee, bluebirds, along with starlings and junco.
A picture from a stash of pictures. Not a today picture but still a good one. The flock was huge today.
The morning glance at the calendar indicates it will be a fairly simple day. And it stayed that way.I did a little grocery shopping at noon. The list contained liver, sardines, almonds and a few other things mentioned as B 12 foods. Then it was back to the needles and knitting with a sleep thrown in now and then. I watched a little TV learning about dinosaurs on the Disney channel. The rug got left out but not forgotten.
Supper was B. Berrys with pancakes and lots of syrup. A no sugar one for me! But still lots. A great camping breakfast but supper in Carmel in the winter.
Just about as good as sitting at the camping table with the family. Just about but not quite good enough. We did an Eric pick up. Andrew has the car taking him to choir practice at North. Yes. There still is a Russell singing with the Cathedral Singers.
Another scarf almost finished. And by nine pm it will be completed for sure. And it's a sure thing that there will be more. More college ball tonight. I'm ready for some pro Pacers stuff. It was a very simple day. I'll take it.
It is TWENTY-THREE degrees here at this moment - 9:00 in the morning! This is not normal for Georgia at this time of year - in fact, even on our usual cold days, it has warmed up by this time in the morning. Keep your cold air up north!
