Tuesday.

The goal for today was to complete one scarf with yarn of many colors.  So, the morning was knitting and sitting and knitting.  I started this scarf last night but with little needles it takes a bit of time to get to the end.  I call the process amusement one.

                                                                        From this...to

Now for amusement two with a Starling deterrent report. It seems to be working but there was some adjusting that needed to happen.  I brought everything inside and did some hemming and hawing.  Rehung everything outside again and waited.  I think there are some Starlings that are trying to figure out an approach that will work for them. I lost one peanut and a couple of bites of suet.  So far that's about it. I get a big tickle when the Starlings get into their helicopter mode and are just to0 heavy to keep the "plane" in the air. I have a feeling with study they will have more success.

                                                                Orange is the theme

The other birds just don't pay much attention to anything but the food.  And I'm sure those that have some concerns will watch and take note on how to make their landing.  It's been fun to see the logistics that are evident. Once again, the B Birds are visiting quite regularly with many family members in attendance.  Their attendance far outnumbered any other species. Meal worms on the menu continue to help.  We'll need to make a Wild Birds run soon for more worms.  The Finch seem to like the B Bird food but they are such tiny birds. My hope is that they won't eat much.

Another orange picture.                                                                                          I was so fortunate more than four years ago to raise more than 60 Monarchs                                                                                This past year not a one.

Amusement three. Number three was not so high on the list.  It was another doctor visit, this time to a new PA called Urogynecology at I U North.  I must give credit to all my doctors and my primary doctor in particular for this appointment.  It was another check to see if all is well and it is.  Of course, if it was not so good I would not have called it the third amusement.  Am I a little daffy calling doctor visits amusements?  You can say YUP!  I have got to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.  That's an old saying in case you are to young to know that.

The afternoon brought more knitting, and the scarf was finished in the evening.  One down and three to go. This box of scarves will head south to Conyers I hope by the end of the week or the first of next week.

this.  Wild with color I would add.                                                 Already in the box are four white.  There will be four colored soon.

There were leftovers for supper. Simple is what I'm talking about. And guess what...another scarf, yes, on the needles.  The rug got left out entirely. Another good day I would say.

A bonus picture for tonight. Bob Schilling, North's music director and pastor, baptizing Jared more than 50 years ago. Bob celebrated another 90 some birthday not very long ago.

That baby will have another birthday Friday. Happy Birthday Jared...your card is in the mail.                                                         Your Dad picked it out and it is a duzzy.

  1. Those colorful scarves are lovely - I think they will be just the right thing for Fedela and Maria Guadalupe and Melissa and Jessica (4 Mexicans and a Peruvian). And I sent you an e-mail for a 5th. A white one will be perfect for Sr. Ana Maria - she is Venezuelan and feels the cold more than Hoosiers do.
