Monday

Monday morning was a brrrrr morning, but everything survived although the big pot family didn't get uncovered until 2 when I got home from church.  So as usual all the morning stuff was completed, and I was on the road to church before 8:30.  I wanted to get things in order for the crew to jump into their work upon arrival.  And they did.

There were five of us and later the sixth person arrived.  Two new church members wanting to do visual arts things became a part of the group.  What a gift.  So, the morning was full of silk flowers, floral pins, mirrored crosses and great little white doves.  Then add a whole lot of visiting and you have the picture.  This project was finished 12 pm.

All at work filling 12 inserts with flowers, mirrored cross and white doves.

The next work assignment was readying the chapel space for the Saturday Evening Worship Event at 8:30. The Earth Hour Worship service.  It's a service in the Keltic style of simplicity honoring the world God has given us using no resources other than candlelight. It will start with a fire and then move to lighted candles for all.  The chapel will also be lit with candles with even more candles on the three round tall tables, the girls moved to the chapel.  We prepared the space.  Darren has planned the service.

We took another trip to the attic to show our handy work to those who knew what the old room looked like but visiting what today's attic storage room now appears.

I took Hannah our new members home, making it back to our garage by 2 pm.

The rest of the afternoon was uncovering the patio pot and walking the garden even though the air was a bit brisk.  There were plenty of deer tracks which told me why all the crocus blooms were gone for the year 2025.  I filled the bird feeders and did some touching up making the house show signs of spring which had been lacking.

As you can see, Santa has disappeared from the table.  The real truth is that he just has settled in another spot. Dah.  Maybe tomorrow I'll do better.  Maybe not!

Forcing more forsythia happened.  I had a little time to do some preparation of flannel for burp making.  Supper was simple soup and chair time finished off the day.  It was a day well spent with a whole lot to show that we are moving on through the church calendar year toward Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter.

So, the busy week has started and know that today will be probably the busiest of all.  Tomorrow's assignment will start at 8:15 and I should be back home by 10.  I like to think my goal is no more than one assignment for any given day. The rest of the day tomorrow, I should be home.  There could be more Christmas in the box or B. Blue. I've got to move on.
