Sunday

Church day among other things.  And it was a good morning.  Friends and hearing the word make it that way.  Some of us will be back again at North tomorrow to clear away communion stuff and get ready for Palm Sunday.  We delivered the palms and rescued the donkey from the stage now waiting for us tomorrow to be added to other things that bring Palm Sunday visually to those who worship with us.

There was lunch and then yes, a new scarf is on the way.  It's not far along but it's on the way.  I watched UConn ladies win the basketball championship this year.  It wasn't much of a contest so watching was a come and go event for me.  Maybe I should say an in and out experience.  I went to bed last night thinking Duke had it made but they didn't. I thought it looked more like a football game with no pads.  So, it's Huston and Florida tomorrow evening.  Neither team do I care about.  Basketball for some has become a contact killer sport. Big bummer.

Since this was the first Sunday of the month, there was another family zoom with the Russell's.  It was Dallas,TX.  Conyers,GA.  Midland,MI Nashville TN. and Carmel, IN visiting again yucking it up a bit for an hour. We heard about Jared's new driveway toy on the back of the tractor.

The toy on the front is necessary for snow.                                                                                                    Mr. Safety protecting his ears.  What a guy!

The new box on the back flattened the driveway.  It seems there were some Grand Canyon spots.                                                    A lot of back-and-forth trips completed the job

And the weather is still a bit yucky in Indiana in another way.  This morning the rain sounded a bit hard.  The temp will go below the freezing temp. My little milk jug plant collection will spend the night in the dining room and the big pot on the patio will be covered.  All the other things now in the beds should be OK.  I'm hearing one more day of this crud and we'll see something different...MAYBE.

A memory of our trip to the Amish grocery store where huge boxes of vegetables were available.

Two deliveries were made at church with floor blankets going to Ginny and Christine claiming her blanket bag order with a cute little purple hat filled with pony beads. It is an extremely rare Sunday when I'm not carrying something to someone with the hope that what I bring makes life a bit easier for the receiver.  It brings purpose to me. Something we all need.

On the way to somewhere with two beautiful horses.                                                                                                                     More memories.

Today was a great start to another week of work which will continue until after Easter.  Doctor visits are sprinkled in more than in most months but that seems to happen from time to time.  Distractions make the world go around.  I am grateful for them.

                                                                A favorite of Kimmy's.

  1. Thanks for all the pictures: the tractor is impressive as is the driveway; lovely memories - I have similar memories of Shishewana; and is it the duck or the flowers that are Kimmy's favorite? Heavy rain, thunder, and lightening here in Atlanta.
