Tuesday

Today was an interesting day with plenty to do.  The garden walked proved that sweet peas, plural are on the way.  There are some other places that I am tired of filling holes. Is it squirrels?  And there always seems to be some unusual tracks going through the garden after the night has been turned off.  The creatures are on the move.

Mullion.  They say pioneer mothers used this for diapers.  That's a good reason not to be a pioneer mom. I think it has worth because it's pretty.

I got all my PT stuff out of the way.  My eyes were lubricated, sugar and B P checked and more of the morning stuff completed. and with all systems go I took over the sewing machine adding a boarder to the squares and did a whole lot of pressing.

Sometimes the boarder looks blue and sometimes it's a great dark purple.  Go figure.                                                              Knots of many colors are coming.

Then it was time to add the back and a little stuffing. Names were added last night and tomorrow I'll do the knotting.  That should do it unless I think of more. That's certainly a possibility.

Today's big thing was to add the bag, yes, for the blanket but I would think there will be more in the bag added by this little girl.

Now I've made many cloth bags, using about 7 of them for groceries over the years.  But it would seem that I forgot a few bag making rules.  So, there were some do overs for sure.

Would someone tell me where the memory bank has flown to.  I did get it figured out after some really dumb mistakes.  There are always surprises coming from my mind.

I took a sewing brake at lunch and worked for a couple of hours at church putting way Sunday and getting out next Sunday.

So beautiful.  It makes me smile every time I spot it at church.

Palm Sunday is the next big Sunday so it's get out, put away, get more out, put away and then get more and more and more out ending with a huge put away.  I love it but I always happy to know that Palm Sunday, Holy week and the Easter celebration come only once a year.

During the in between times every day, I manage to check for weeds.  Of course I find some but even though things look pretty good, I can always find an excuse, if it's not to cold to be outside!  Sometimes there is no excuse needed.

                                                                The first asparagus spike.

Supper was warmed over bean soup with chives, parsley and cilantro all from the garden.  Something easy when it's hard to turn the sewing machine off.  I will spend some time cleaning up the sewing room.  It sure gets messy.  Tomorrow should be the day to close down the Christine project.  Who knows what's next.  We'll see how the spirit moves.
