Sunday

Up early dressed for church with breakfast on the patio.  I walked the garden looking for proof of deer.  Humm.  They choose to eat all the flowers off the newly planted Hosta" at Gina's house.  The beat goes on.  I checked on the latest tasty morals and there now are 10 stalks left on one group of D Lilies with a few tiny buds left.  I need to make some protection bags.

Then something happened that should not have happened.  I picked up the little rake that fluffs the dirt and  started on just one of the beds

which lead to the second bed

and the third bed.

I needed to roll up my wet pants the due gave me.  Then the perspiration was rolling off my head like the Mississippi River.  I just kept going until I was finished.  Gina appeared with friend dog and I shared that how I would smell at church was a concern. I thought sitting with Doug would be the safe space.  We moved on to church a bit early to check on the flowers.  They were fine.

And would you know the Duke Seminary Intern who has been with us this summer preached. her sermon title being Smells like Jesus.  She centered her sermon on the feeling that one might feel (smell) around folks that understand and live the teachings of Jesus.  2 Corinthians 2:14 to 17.  Haven used a translation I've never heard of.  It was really interesting.

There was a thank you party for the ushers and greeters in the Community Rm. with cake cookies and juice after church. We did a big Go Pacers cheer before leaving.

Visiting before church.  Once again, a long time ago choir member in blue, Jo Pierce is back again in Indiana.  Jo lives in Atlanta but visits with a daughter in Carmel.  She always spends a Sunday morning at North.  She is sitting with Jessica, another choir member. So good to see you again.

Home again and a lazy afternoon of just about nothing.  I felt a big thank you to Larry, Curly and Moo, my three Kisqali cancer pills this morning for making themselves available again for the next three weeks.  I'm feeling better today saying I'm lazy this afternoon, not out of energy.  The temperature is up there! Sitting with a big ice water with lemon is bringing me through! The fan is at my feet.

Kimmy, I'm not talking but it looks like my eyes are closed.  They are NOT!

It's 7:52.  Tonight is the big one.  The word is it's Pacers all the way.  Time will tell.  The guys have got to be on tonight all the way. Game six certainly proved it on Thursday.  One more time MEN.

Tomorrow holds another monthly visit with Dr. Schneider.  I've got to get my questions on paper.  There are a few.
