Tuesday
Today, was sort of the same but a whole lot different. Perhaps it started to be different last night. I'm usually in bed by at least 10:30. Near 12 Doug asked if I was going to bed. I used the evening till almost 12 to work on the stole making super progress. Yesterday was a bell ringer of work for sure. And this morning after being up at 6, I was back at it by 7 with a whole lot of hand work staring me in the face. There can only be an onward and forward with Wed. being the dead, dead, deadline. I will add it turned out to be different and better than I thought. Knowing Jill which isn't very well because of being new to North, I think she will love it. She has a beautiful collection of stoles in her office and this one will be added. Now you can take aim at me. I forgot to take a picture! I'm great at ducking. Sad to say we won't see her wear it for the first time but I'm sure she will have it on the rest of the Sundays in June.
My friend Mary took these pictures at church since once again I failed. I would say the stole is not so subtle, Purls stand for wisdom. It was a fun but fast project. I made the dead, dead, deadline a bit early. On to other things like a simpler life. Maybe!Doug and I took the stole to church this morning and would you know. the staff is off on their annual Kings Island party trip. Did that make a difference to me? Not one. She'll see it one of these days. It's out of my house and I am forever grateful.
From that event we were back just in time to 103rd street for Doug to visit his doctor. I dropped him off, went home for reading material, back to the dr. office to drop it off, then off to my last PT meeting with Ro, back to pick him up with his reading material and then HOME for Lupper at 3 PM. Woo. Bushed might be the word.
Daily change, more canna leaves every day.The next event was cleaning up all the sewing stuff like trim, pins, needles, scissors, embroidery thread, fabric scraps and much more. Done! Over! Finished! Done for sure at least this time.
I walked the garden to see how the Mexican Sunflowers were doing. I saved seed but it's very apparent that just didn't work. I have three that will make it. I planted more a few days ago and I'm still waiting for them to punch their timecard. I checked the cannas and did a bit of fluffing around them, around zinnias and around the cosmos.
Bloom busters is doing a great job with blooms. Then it was to the lettuce bed for a great picking. My sister gave me a salad spinner, and I just clean the lettuce, keeping it in the spinner refrigerated and then use it often, lasting sometimes for an entire week. We'll have a yummy garden salad tonight.
The fabric includes all the colors of the rainbow with the same in crosses. When exiting the sanctuary, Jill always walks the North aisle where we sit. Her stoles are always flying away trying to keep up with Darren who walks the South aisle. I'll be looking forward to a very colorful flying stole the fourth and fifth Sundays of June.I checked on Peter this morning and this afternoon and both times he was lying in his little nest just as quiet as a bunny. I need to gather the forces if I am ever going to make an attempt to catch him.
Doug found time to relocate two baby squirrels. Once this morning and once this afternoon. Supper was on the patio with that salad item. We're missing the trees but not that much. Our time has been spent elsewhere. So, another busy day with energy to match most of the time. That's a very good thing. I think it might be a hocky night. Florida is up 2 to1. And come to think of if, I need to check on the Fever. There is always something.
Beautiful stole. I like the idea of the pearls - clever addition.
