Tuesday

There are a whole lot of flower pictures for Tuesday.

So pretty and so perfect! All things bright and beautiful. The Lord God made them all.

All day Tuesday, it was Tuesday all day.  The night was a little crazy with sleeping but it was cool.  So, it was what it was.  There was another patio breakfast and at some point, along the way there was a walk in the garden.  All was in place!  Woo, woo. No plants had left the premises.

The deer left me a few of these.  This is the first one I've seen this year of this color.

A perennial sweet pea with Rebekka getting ready to bloom.

The ground was still wet but not too wet for working which once again takes away those little weeds that are thinking about growing.  One of the neighbors talked about seeing no weeds in the garden.  Years of doing what I continue to do with fluffing the ground has made the weeding job almost nonexistent.  Some new zinnia growers write about eliminating weed pulling because they don't like to do it.  Humm.  Not a gardener in my book. What kind of a gardener takes water from a flower giving it to a weed.  I must admit right now I think it is the year of the clover being celebrated in the USA.  Not China. There is a lot of bunny food for sure.

A zinnia with a different look on the same bush with regular zinnias.

So, I worked all the flower beds again turning into a hot and sweaty gardener.  But it's finished for a while again.  I took a cold shower and then was off to pick up my hearing aid.  Done, finished.

This year's pond plants came from Rosie's garden shop.  They are more than healthy.  Woo, woo.                                                 I bought 4 and look how they have multiplied.

For the rest of the Tuesday, I was pretty lazy.  I found a chipmunk in the trap.  Doug took it to the woods.  There were a few weed piles needing a pickup, preparing for the Wednesday mow.  That happened.  I remembered through all the outside work to spray me.  Woo.  Now that needs to become a habit.

Not a host plant for any butterfly but the flower holds a lot of food for the butterflies. Still waiting!

Neighbors James and Rachel dropped in for a garden visit.  So sweet.  Baby sister was home with Dad!

In another week or two the garden will be painted with color.  It's teasing me right now.

I remember an old song about the Lazy Crazy Days of Summer.  It's beginning to feel like that around here today.  Will it continue? The chair was used, the gardening books had a go around again and there was a nap thrown in when it happened.  Which turned into an afternoon of sleeping. I think I was making up for the interrupted more than once or twice of a night of little sleep. It's that Australia thing again that Dee and I have memorized having read it more than once or twice to our school kids.
