Friday

I flunked.  Dill doesn't support Monarchs!  Dah!  I had six new Swallowtail babies correcting yesterday's post.  But there is another thing of more importance than butterflies.  A blood test this morning!  I had a better score this time and able to start Kisqali again.  Oh, Yee of little faith.  I have felt pretty fragile about numbers lately and didn't quite catch on to that fact, until Julie called this morning with the blood results as I was parking at Aldi's. My white blood count wasn't in the red for the first time since the beginning of time. Other things are but that's what it is. Larry, Curly and Moe, my names for my three K pills, got right to work again.  A lot of tears of thanksgiving fell.

Still with us.  And still acting like hot race car teen drivers.

I dropped off some things at Patty's house after the IU North visit and then on to Aldi's to pick up a few things keeping the visit short and sweet. Then needing some diversion after arriving home, I decided Stella needed to take a walk.

I started out with her to walk the block.  Some nearby neighbor friends got in the way that resulted in more than a three hr. conversation at the end of our driveway sort of in the middle of the street. We decided we would advertise ourselves as traveling speed bumps. The traffic was pretty slow in passing.  It was a great way to back into the reality of living again the good life with my mind ending in a healthier place. We solved every problem the world ever had or will have. What healers. Sad to say the bigger wigs didn't ask us about our possible solutions. And when finished with the talk, the walk continued right back up the driveway and into the garage.  I canned the block idea. One reason was morning had disappeared.

Lunch happened and then it was back to enjoying the garden again with sitting on the patio for a while talking to some of my friends. Even though it's August, the Sept. air feels so good.  The butterflies were so entertaining finding all the sweet juices that satisfied what they were looking for. I did a little garden walking checking on the occupants of the butterfly cage. Gina found three more on the Rue this morning.  My suggestion was to let them be until they are bigger.  Then they will get the cage food. MAYBE!

Five minutes later the Monarch joined the Swallowtails on the butterfly bush.                                                             This bush is a must have for any butterfly lover.

The afternoon work was clearing out two stumps that were left from a crab apple and pine tree.  They were cut down years ago and nature loosened the stumps after about 10 years of sitting and decaying.  All is gone now, either on the burn pile or in the B Blues. The lawn guys will notice they no longer exist. Perhaps it sounds like a hard job.  It wasn't that at all.  Just a good shovel, some hard hits and that was it.

This pictures says half gone.  Then it was all gone.

Supper was a little of this and that.  Whatever was left in the refrigerator from this week's meals.  And the evening entertainment would be another Fever game.  C Clark I read may be starting tonight.  Good for her. Fingers crossed.  There was a lot of energy direct toward emotions today coming from many places for many reasons.  Just part of life at this point.  And just because...I took a walk around the block, after all with Stella.
