Monday

                                              Roses from Scotland.  Beautiful, beautiful.

Agapanthus, also a Scottland flower.  I think it's the cool moist air!

All the morning it was stuff as usual along with a little TV news.  No new news as usual.  I brought the paper in and I would add, no new news as usual in the paper.  Doug reads EVERYTHING. At the top of his lists of musts are the funnies.  That could be new news to him.  I grabbed the scissors, headed to the garden to start snipping again where I left off yesterday.  I'm so impressed with the little zinnias the bunnies left alone.  They are beautiful and such an eye gift for a Monday morning.  Or I should say any morning.
A Gentle Giant although you might not think so.

While in the garden I was gifted with a visit from Wyland. Of course his lead was attached to his owner.  I hope I spelled his name correctly.  He's such a sweety.

A gorgeous Daliah blooming in MY garden.

Every little flower gift helps a whole lot,and these were doubled or tripled in value evident.  Even the ones destined for the B Blues.

I hope the B Blues appreciated my attempt to make them look good.                                                                                                      So many colors.

A huge job but an even bigger one is planned for tomorrow.

Next on the morning list were the day lilies.  They got their yearly trim and this time I got to use my handy dandy Christmas gift trimmers.  That worked well making the job so much easier.  There was a heap of stuff waiting for the B Blues.  Now both of the B Blues are pretty much full, but I can always manage to squeeze a bit more in if necessary.  I did some soil fluffing, pulled some weeds and cleaned up a lot of mess. Even though the C. gift made life easier, I was a tired pup happy to find the chair and lunch for a rest up.

Samd old, same old, except instead of silver they are black.

Doug declared patience gone with the land line phones.  There are three phones and two of them have passed on.  They are really old for phones.  So, after pleading for 30 minutes more in the chair and some iPhone hunting, we were off to Best Buy for new phones.  New Panasonic phones just like the old Panasonic phones. Nothing fancy. I think we paid the same for the new as we did for the old.  Doug got them working and all is well with the land line phones.

I love these seed pods.  I wonder what I can do with them.  Any suggestions?

I spent the rest of the day taking it pretty easy.  Bacon was on the supper menu, so I fried a pack. There will be some bacon for tonight and some for later with all BLT's in mind.  The rest of the day was pretty simple with the contribution of effort made in the morning demanding the chair in the afternoon.  Tomorrow I'll tackle the bed by the driveway.  It's a lot of Siberian Iris and a few more daylilies that will get a trim.  I could include a few Becky Daisies.  The B Blues will be stuffed, turkey style!

A wonderful morning hello that gripped my attention.  What a gift.

What a splash of color.  These flowers just keep on giving.

I would say another good Monday making a contribution to the garden.  It's wonderful to start the week with fresh air, bird songs and seeing a beautiful hawk fly into some very tall trees. A reminder that God cares for me as well as all creatures.  God is good all the time.  All the time God is good.  It's important to keep one's mind in a positive place.  Then living is always good.  A word from preacher Darren and what I have believed for a long time!
