Sunday

I decided to do a pink theme for today's pictures.  We'll see how that goes.  There is one exception.

Sing God a simple song.  I would say it was a simple Sunday with hopefully a simple song.   I did a little Star newspaper retrieval. Then a garden walk after a wonderful number of showers during the night.  God knew I needed help.  I can roll up the hose for a while. And then it was off to church for another morning of worship.

The weigelia is doing its smaller second bloom.  I would say something between a red and pink.

Then came lunch and an afternoon with the Fever at 1pm.  Woo.  As often happens, the Fever women were often 20 points behind and then came the 4th quarter where it was a pedal to the metal type of playing.  They ended up with a tie score at the buzzer and went on to win the game.    I think the game before this one they lost by one or two points.  Motivation certainly is evident.

I thought this little snapdragon might be called pink if one stretches the imagination.

I was off to see Marcia L. for the rest of the afternoon, talking through some needle work stuff she is doing to some of the new paraments.  I think she is set with what she can do.  We may be taking atrip to Zionsville to shop for floss needed.  She'll know more about that tomorrow.

Of course, there are always little zinnias looking pink in person that fit this category.

I did more TV watching with my eyes closed late afternoon.  Supper happened and the evening was slow and easy.  There will be some Dr. appointments this week.  Just the usual expected checkups.

And a promise of things to come.

Today once again the air was full of butterflies.  The garden visitors were not of the pink variety. What fun to watch just where they go and what they do.

And here is someone who calls me grandma, traveling north this week to start his life as a Goshen College freshman doing his church choir part continuing the Russell tradition. So proud of him and the tradition he is carrying on.  The fourth generation in the Goshen tradition. The sixth family member.

Andrew owns a deep big bass voice.  Pretty impressive I would add.

  1. Love the hibiscus! My friend Gina has raved about your tea. You’ve inspired me to make some from my garden! Blossoms the size of a dinner plate!
