Thursday

They are so beautiful which makes them so hard to cut off.                                                     They always say the more you cut the more you get.  I say they die sooner when cut.

The first thing that comes to mind describing today is that this has been a very slow day.  A pile up of    2 1/2 weeks of medicine can do that sometimes.  It's a day that feels sluggish, walking in mud or ten inches of snow  and then more of the same.  I'm nearing the end of three weeks of medicine with next week and maybe even two depending on bloodwork with the no medicine weeks giving the body time to recuperate from the Larry, Curly and Moo, my medicine buddies. They are hard workers.  Extra recuperation time away from pills has happened before so it's a possibility again.  It's a time when the doctor's nurse says be aware of germs.  The immune system is compromised.  It's part of my life now and I'm just fine with that.  NO problem. No cures but a chance to live a longer productive life. Thanks be to God.

Another morning with a whole day of new blooms.  The gift keeps on coming.

This morning the biggie was seeing my heart doctor again.  For now, it is an every 3 months visit.  More blood work, heart E K G and I'll see you in three months.  I'll check the portal tonight to see if there are more messages.  I love that portal.  It's such a fast way to hear results and ask questions.  It's a plus.  REPORT! The portal said the Magnesium level has improved!  No red numbers in the portal. I'm still at the bottom of expectations but thankful I'm not in the red zone.

This afternoon I did a little sewing of four burps. This flannel is really thick with a wonderful texture.

There just wasn't much energy to spread around today.  So, no little children to look after.  Doug does a super job of taking care of himself. The dog does the same since we don't have one.  And the outside stuff isn't calling me.  Am I wearing my hearing aids?  So the chair is my comfort zone with a dish of ice cream. Now that's the first good combination of the day.  Another one is on its way.
Straw flowers doing their thing.  Last years decorated our little Xmas tree.  So cute.

I texted a couple of friends to see if one is on this side of the pond again. I just got a text with "landed in .Atlanta"  The other friend is back in Indy after being in Dallas with her grandchildren.  Another friend calld from Novi, Mi. I need ALL my friends and that makes all right with the world.

                                                                                Supper Fare!

What do think we're having for supper?  It was really yummy with those great tomatoes filling in with bacon.  One cant go wrong with that B L T combination.  More bacon is waiting but we're waiting for more tomatoes.  They will be along soon.

This afternoon a Monarch and T Swallowtail visited the garden with a sighting of the family of Momma deer and the twins close by.  So the day was a good one with a few accomplishments and a brain smart enough to realize this was a take it easy day.
