Thursday

 Busy with Novi, Mi. company. Phones now can receive messages when we can't answer.  iPhone can receive aol and e-mails.  Dennis' brain made this happen.  We did a lot of talking.  Walked the block and Marcia and I did a Carmel travel trip.  As you can see, we were busy.  The butterflies also were very entertaining.  And there were a lot of them enjoying all the flowers.  There are a lot of caterpillars now sharing space in the butterfly container house.  So there will be even more butterflies to count as we sit on the patio.  There has been so many just in the last week.  What a gift to watch.  So, that was the day and there will be more tomorrow.  

                                I think we have seen the last red hibiscus until next summer. 

Tomorrow evening you will see more words and more pictures.  That is a promise that I will make good.

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

 Another great celebration with family with a few little twists as sometimes families can produce.  But celebrate we did with lots of food and lots of card games and just lots of everything that makes memories.  We're tired and glad to say the celebration as good as it was, is over for another year.  And we're looking forward to seeing what a year from now brings.  Today was a day of picking up the pieces to move into busy December. A bit of Christmas decorating happened at home.                                        The stockings were hung.  At least two you see and three you don't. Amazing Saturday

 For many reasons it has been an amazing day.  One to remember as long as memory allows me.   Once again sleep did not stick with me, so I was once again out of bed around 1 last night.  I thought of checking the IU Portal for whatever it was going to tell me.  And it did a lot of talking about the scan that happened Wednesday.  The Easter portal news is that all cancer related things seem to be pretty stable with even some slight improvement in one area. Ever so slight but that still is great news.  So. for now, I feel like the stone has been rolled away and new life is with me.  Thanks be to God.  So back to bed and I slept till 6.  I'll take it with Thanksgiving.  Breakfast came and the clock proved it was time to leave for Church to get a jump on Easter visuals before the crew arrived.                 New members Hannah and Andrew working in the chapel with the lamb and...
