Tuesday

It was a night of wake ups and sleep.  I'd rather have something different but sometimes one can't choose.  So it was a 5 o'clock final wake up and the day was on its way with an early, early breakfast.  I visited with Joe and Mika, watched log houses being built and checked the weather more than once. It was pill time at 6.  Jared has set an alarm on my iPhone for 7:30 reminding me about gulping down my cancer pills.  That is such a help and for some reason so easy to forget. I am grateful.

Today, I planned to do a little cleaning up to one of the flower beds.  Yesterday's daylily bust took its toll so I was a little hesitant to move on to another big do, but I promised myself no racing.  And the C. Gift was put into gear and the iris beds and more double day lily beds were clipped short with a burr cut.  I raked four huge pills of contributions to the Big Blues.  These four contributions should be the turkey stuffing for sure.  When Doug pulls the B Blue to the street, this afternoon, on the way we'll do the stuffing.  That happened and once again there are three B Blues waiting for a lift!

No place for the bunny to hide.  The second clump of iris was a bit more difficult to cut.  It had the look of a deer sleeping in the middle of the patch.  But it's clipped and looks a lot like this spot.

So, what was the rest of the morning and afternoon all about.  It's one word...SLEEP.  My body says it's Monday night, time to sleep, so I didn't protest.  It's time to go with the flow. And fortunately, my lifestyle can let that happen.  That's another good thing.

Doug was off to I U North for his monthly B 12 shot.  His body doesn't make it anymore and one needs that to stay healthy.  He's been doing shots for some time.  Friday, it's my turn for my monthly shots. Both of these are given in the same I U North department, so the nurses know us well.  Better than most couples I would imagine. Under the circumstances, we've made some good friends.  You can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

After more sleeps, I got my wind back again and decided I wanted to wear some shorts that needed new waist band elastic.  The shorts fell off with the weight of the iPhone the last time I wore them.  That wasn't so good.  So, I bit the bullet and sewed new elastic.  I remembered that some time ago, maybe last year, Doug got new daytime pants.  They needed hemming.  So that's on the done side of work ready for him. He forgot he had them.  Then I pulled out a stole that Bob S. gave to me years ago.  It's a beautiful hand-woven stole made in Maine.  An idea came to me that preserved the weaving. A new approach has started but I need to do some figuring out on how to proceed toward finished.

I need to figure out how to attach the crosses to the stole.  I know there is a way.

So, stuff happened when the body said go!  I called Marcia L and there is another church sewing project in the works. Marcia consented to do her part.  That's a very good thing.  Marcia is so good with the needle.

I was hungry for a taste of home while at the grocery when I spotted a jar of Sour Krout.  Mom made the Krout storing it in a crock in the basement. I remember getting bits of Krout what I was hungry.  So tonight it's S. Krout and sausage.  It's fresh plum time in the store and they are delicious.  Mom canned bushels of plums. Fresh is better.  We'll have a few of those as well along with some fresh hibiscus tea!

Midland Mi. News.

Look at that corn.  AND there are a whole lot of zinnias.  Well, I'll admit they are inside a protective fence. Racoons? I bet not.  Deer? No.  Rabbits, unable to jump the fence and it's the same for chickens.

Now I'm going to pretend these are mine.  But they really are not.  I'm just pretending.

There is another Fever game tonight.  The ladies are on it.  The fourth quarter is enough tension for me.  So I'm flipping channels until the last quarter.  The only problem I see tonight is that the game is in LA and doesn't start till 10.  That's a killer. Not many pictures today.  I'll try to do better.  That is if I sleep tonight.
