Tuesday

 Another full day of doing.

More tomatoes coming on, It has been a good year.  The plant with the BIG tomatoes is doing well.

I want to report, I skipped the garden walk this morning.  But that didn't happen, I knew I would see something needing to be fixed.  The tug was very strong and that came true.  Maybe I need black out glasses.  I let myself give in to pushing the garden cart and filling it once again.  By August most or maybe all plants are having a blast at growing.  It's like a race to the top.  So, I uncovered Butterfly Weed.  All five of them.  BE Susan just doesn't know when or where to stop.  And there was more clipping and uncovering.  I planted some Sunflower seed.  That's a gamble but isn't all gardening that.

Another project coming together.  It's almost ready, set, go!

And by 10:15 I called it quits again.  A shower happened and by 11:00 I was on the way to see my Primary Doctor.  And we talked just about all the doctors notes I'm seeing discussing what they say and answering more questions.  It was a very good visit.  And, I'll see you in 6 months was the word.  That's good news. We're doing some blood pressure checking for a week or so. It's a little higher then wanted.

No more than five minutes passed with new water in the hummingbird feeders and we had a visitor.                                                 So, keep your feeders clean. No photo, just a reminder.

Then back home again for a late lunch and time to sit.  And the same old same old added a very long sleep.  Last night was one of those donut hole sleeps again.  The best thing to do is just go with the flow and check on all the reruns at 1 AM.  I slept till 7:45 which helped a whole lot.

I have been looking at my closet and knowing for some time it was time to read out. Goodwill got a big Goodwill bag full of stuff I haven't worn in a long time.  My head screamed it was time to let go and clean out and now I have more empty hangers.  That's a great benefit happening when one donates. It's better to get hangers this way than the need to buy more.

We often see two Monarchs at the same time.  But their flight pattern reminds me of fast, crazy teenagers drag racing.  I caught one but the other was in other places.  Beecher and his buddy are growing fast and eating alot.  That's also something teens do.

I cleaned up some garden throw away piles.  Freshened up the front door.  One of our Olk trees is showing low water stress again.  It happens every year.  It's leaves are dropping and blowing where they don't need to be. The hope is that the mowing men will get them all chewed up.

Woo, woo. An empty space.  I planted Sunflowers here today.                                                         A gardening friend has said never to late to plant seeds.  She lives in Virginia!

Then it was time to think supper which turned out to be another garden salad.  But preparation happened in spurts because I decided to clean out the refrigerator.  Stuff needed to go and son Jared would be so happy with my efforts.  He's also done some remarkable cleaning while visiting.  Patty stopped by with a meal.  Now wasn't that just the nicest thing to happen.  Today's clean out effort proves that I can do it.  Even Doug was impressed with empty shelves.  Thank goodness the garbage truck comes tomorrow. Aldi's, here we come.

More empty spaces.  I planted my decretive wool mushrooms in this empty spot.

So the day was a busy one. I pretty much hung in there and stayed with it.  My hope is your day was productive and satisfying as well.  Thanks, be to God for the gift of living.

A month or so ago the perennial Sweetpea was taking over the world.  I really reduced Sweetpea in size like entirely gone looking like a bald haircut.  Look here.  Back again for the late summer season.  I think Sweetpea will behave probably until next year.

Tomorrow evening, we expect to see our camping friends from Novi, Marcia and Dennis.  They will be with us for a day and two nights, camping in our driveway.  It should be a good visit having not seen them for two years.

Last but not least...Pepper in coffee isn't a bad thing.  It just covers up the pure coffee taste.  I could get use to that.
