Wednesday
A new day, a new post. So what happened on Wednesday? Early morning stuff. Same old same old except I read through the paper. That didn't take me very long. BUT there was one new event that never happened before. A little bunny found its way into the Have A Heart trap. Woo, woo. Eventually with a relocation to the clover filled park beside the BIG chipmunk woods, a new home was discovered. The return took me on a walk around the garden checking on more delicious tomatoes. And low and behold...two more rabbits jumped out of the garden, running to the neighbors. These two certainly were bigger than the trap. Bummer. A bunny in the Have A Heart trap certainly will be the highlight of the day.
I did a little computer Word thinking with my brain and fingers. Heidi and I are meeting with Jill this afternoon hashing out some stuff concerning station planning for the next series of sermons on prayer. E-mails have been flying between Darren and Jill with Heidi and I being copies. I just needed to organize for me what all had been said. I hope that makes this afternoon more productive for at least me although I made 3 more copies to share if wanted.
Another morning check on "Dougs" caterpillar.I spent some time doing more flannel ripping and now have a total of 53 burps ripped and ready for the sewing machine. Busy with a somewhat mindless job of my choosing is sometimes what doctor LR orders. Burps are on that made up mindless list.
All the Big Blues have been emptied early. Early makes the hot afternoon work a little shorter for the men running the B B Trucks. I delivered Gina's BB to her spot and ours came up the driveway and Doug will finish the moving job before the Lawn Guys get here.
And then there was another Gina and son happening. A few weeks ago bushes along the driveway were cut down. Stumps were treated and today the Jeep and winch came by to see how many root systems could be pulled. About half of them made it out of the ground. I'm sure the rest will be relieved of their duties in due time. Maybe a little more stump killer will help along with time. I was amazed how exposed our house looked from her driveway with none of her bushes lining the driveway hiding our house. Yikes.
This is a sign of determination. The view gets better every day.The afternoon meeting with Jill and Heidi and I went well. A lot was accomplished leaving a lot to do nearer the starting preaching date of Sept. 14th. We'll be busy the week of the 8th for sure.
A super good picture showing how owner and sheep should stand during judging.I made a pit stop at Aldi's on the way home. We both needed some eating things and are set for a while again. So, I would say it was another warm day again. Rain has been promised by the weather man for a couple of days but has yet to appear. We need rain. Maybe a rain dance is in order.
Today, Eli received his Cleveland Indians vintage jacket . He is loving it and the fit is perfect. Thank you Nancy for your thoughtfulness years ago with gifting me the jacket. And Eli thanks you as well. I think he is pure vintage himself. Well, maybe not old enough to tell the truth. But he is a vintage shopper for sure.
