Tuesday
A great sleep last night with the gift of rest for the body as well as the mind. I am forever grateful. I was ready to meet the day and what it might bring. At breakfast I broke out the last yogurt so I knew a trip to the grocery would be on the ticket.
Your last chance this year to see Morning Glories. As of today...GONE for the summer of '25.
But first the garden cart came out with tools of Hedge Trimmers and Lopers and Rake and Shovel. It was a serious morning in store with words starting with capital letters. The tomatoe cages came down with clearing the plants after picking the tomatoes. The yummy BLT kind of tomatoes. Some ripe and some not so ripe. The chicken wire was gathered but still needing a good roll. Over the hill flowers were clipped and roots were dug. The short flower "trunks" when tripped over are so dangerous to this tippy body I live in. The garden space is beginning to yell; there is something different in the air!!!!
This is a big bunch of nothing. A change is in the air.The B Blues were filled to the max ready for new friend Chuck who drives the B. B. Truck. After three hours in the garden with one telephone break to schedule the monthly shots, I was finished. Well, not really finished but I stopped for the day. It was lunch time and Doug gave me about an hour to recuperate. Well, sort of. That usually really happens with some good night sleeping. The glass was half full, NOT half empty. There was energy available.
This fresh little mallow believes there is time to mature. Not in Indiana this year but still one must admire wanting to try. I can say the same about new tiny milkweed along with dill. This year is over, kiddos. There will be a next spring when the same old, same old happens. We were off to the Nora Aldi's and low and behold...new shelving has arrived to make this Aldi's look like a whole lot of other more up to date stores. There will be more options that I really don't think I need but for sure the Jello is on a shelf I can reach at just below shoulder level. Woo, woo for JELLO. It's an easy swallower for sure and I keep it ready to gel.
One of the messes I eliminated this morning. More are waiting.Groceries were stored away, and I was off to the sewing room to do the final ripping adding up to 104 burps. Well, that will happen when the sewing machine and iron get busy.
More dead heading happened but this little beauty got to stay. The Dailah bushes are plumb full of buds. Then it was back to the kitchen to do a little Amish Soup fixing. It's such a great smelling world when soup is on the stove. I love to visit the Amish grocery store when we're with the Mi. family.
Neighbors stopped by for a visit. The pounding the second day of a new roof sent them on a walk still in the neighborhood but as far away from their house as they could get.
Then it was blog picture time with supper not far behind. Tonight is the final game of this series for the Fever. One more win and the FINALS are here! Go girls. Show me you can do it. I'm sure they are listening to me just like that Adam kid in Mi. It's been a wonderful treat, and I just want the beat to continue starting at 9:30. Yikes this old lady is saying.
So far there has been no soccer team assignment for me. I can be a very patient waiter. The chair is my friend, you know! I'll probably get a text when I'm asleep.
Boy, those morning glories are BEE-YOUT-TEE-FULLL!
