Wednesday
Even the back of this hibiscus is pretty. There will be one more, and then the blooming season is over.
It was a very quiet morning. I started stitching Greek crosses for the stoles that need a little adorning. One was finished by evening with another one on the need list. So, the chair got a lot of use. Maybe way to much.
One lonely Colendula. I love these flowers. I think they are in the eatable group. Some flowers are yellow, some orange, some big and some little. The afternoon saw a trip to the drugstore that I could have eliminated if I had thought of pills yesterday when getting the flu shot. Then to Rita and Bobs house to pick up a card. That took about 2 hours with a lot to talk about.. Then back home driving past a neighbor's house seeing them work in the yard. That led to some Becky daisies leaving the garden later in the day. That's a good thing. There are more plants waiting to leave.
Lettuce from the garden needs to grow a whole lot more, but at least it has appeared. That's good enough for me.Around noon I thought of stuffed peppers for supper. I didn't do anything about it but after the daisies left there was a smidgen of time with supper a little later than usual. So, peppers from the garden made that meal happen. In fact it made two meals happen.
As you an see from the size of this blog, life was pretty simple today. That's fine with me if mixed in with fuller days. This one was a good one. Straw flowers. I shared some seeds today.
such bright colors in the colendula and the straw flower. Happy colors! I love yellow.
