Wednesday

As I begin the blog, it's mid-afternoon.  I'm give it a go as to what happened this morning.

This little beauty is on it's way to closing.  So long friend.

There was a little TV watching but not much. The bird feeders were filled.  The finch know how to eat like it's a thanksgiving meal every day.   I started thinking about burps knowing about 20 needed to be turned to the right side.  So I did that.  Ironing all 20 flat was the next step.  Yesterday, I wrote about my sick machine but thought, WHY NOT TRY this morning. So, I did and Low and Behold! (my mother's words) The machine came to life just like it usually does.  Woo.  So, I stitched slowly10 burps using a gentle touch with the machine.  I have another 10 ready for the last  time around with the sewing machine and I just may give it a go this afternoon.

Stacks of burps in various stages.  Alot happened today.

There was another pressing and folding and so far the number completed is 30 on my way to another hundred.  Slow and easy is on my mind right now.  I did the "fix the computer" thing. Just turned the machine off.  Then on!  I wonder how long that will work.

I released two butterflies this morning, a swallowtail and the last monarch.  Then it was time to replenish the parsley for the caterpillars.

The caterpillers, some big and some small are certainly good eaters.  One little guy was crawling on to new parsley before I had it secure in the container. Another thanksgiving meal in the cage.  There are 8 chrysalis with the live caterpillars, out numbering the sleepers.  Yikes.

I think I counted 8 in the family. They do eat parsley.
This little guy woke up around 5 tonight.

I took a walk around the block.  Today, it felt long and warm.  There was a stop at the neighbors for a long visit.  She's also a gardener so there is always something to talk about.  Today it was about her new roof coming soon.  She is one of the Becky Daisy adopters.

My florist neighbor had roses sitting on her driveway for walkers to take and two little bunches came home with me. A freebee for sure. She must have had a lavender wedding over the weekend.

The body was telling me it was time to sit with perhaps a sleep just about to happen.  Then a visit with the sewing machine finished the next 10.  The total completed now is 40.  It's time to start ripping away at the stash of flannel sheets.  Babies are waiting. There was no church visit today for me.  I left that to Heidi who lives very close to 38th and Meridian.

It's been a wonderful fall day. Things are changing which even includes me.
